This question is malformed. The universe doesn’t exist in the same way that concretes exist. It’s a concept, so it exists as a mental integration of all existents. Existents exist within existence.
When I use the word subject I’m not talking about grammar; I’m referring to the subject of consciousness (the one who is conscious), and the word object refers to anything the subject is aware of or considers.
But of course, subjectless objects exist all over the place. A rock is an object of consciousness, but it is not a subject of consciousness. And yes, we can be aware of other subjects, and our own consciousness can be an object, albeit a secondary object. I am aware of you, who are conversing with me, as a subject of consciousness.
Divine essentialism, where the original being (object) is the subject existing/expressing (verbing) its essence, and we either participate in its essence (life), or die nihil (defacing the image).
Only God is omniscient & knows everything immediately, being in (& subsuming) every moment and location, through which they cocreatively (with/through us) express their essence — ultimately symbolized/demonstrated on the cross.
