But your point, on the free speech issues, is some dark, dangerous stuff. You can never solve racism from trying a Soviet/Yugoslavian style smothering of it, if anything, it increases as it seethers, and society has no chance of addressing the issues. You can’t mandate enlightenment, beat it into people with brass knuckles.

LESS than a month ago, he was sentenced to two months in jail for speaking his mind! Honesty of thought, and satire, is not a convictable offense. At this rate of delusion on the European left, he is quickly becoming the voice of The Sixth Republic. When you read the news stories, they make him out to be a fanatical terrorist, or a hitler. You watch his acts, he doesn’t say anything worst than you’ll expect from a comic in America. He is quite funny. His comedy wouldn’t of taken to parroting the hitler salute, if it wasn’t for the left in Europe expecting it to whenever they denounced the poor guy. Their angst and hysteria more or less pushed him to respond dialectically, and his audience became attracted to him less because he has these evil beliefs, but for the same reason people push back at Femme Nazis… it’s not because we are anti feminist, we’re just anti your narrow minded, totalitarian blame pointing mentality… I recalled being attacked by two self righteous feminists on this forum who targeted me because I was a make who had the nerve to crack a joke… end result, psuedo-chauvenism as my response.
Some countries passed it in a hurry for their Fourth Reich Fanatical anti speech liberals like Sweden, but I recall a Swedish judge more or less said it was incompatible with free speech… didn’t void the law, but they are more careful now.
You go to any of these countries blogs, it’s some of the worst sewage I’ve ever seen… they say it in riddles though “rhymes with rumslim” stuff. We don’t have to code stuff like that in the US, you just say it, people jump on each other… but we get the conversation going. (Till recently when the left started abusing the very principle of language coding, now everyone is racist in code).
The goal is to have a open conversation. Not because it goes so well, but rather, it let’s both sides know exactly where they stand. You can formulate your responses from that point on productively. May take a while, depends on some honest soul searching, incremental by the generation, but it is necessary.
Why? Cause people talking about problems is the basis of a community. Even if it is as simple as fuck you, I hate your face, you look like a monkey… it’s leaps and bounds over digging trenches and taking pop shots at one another. Communication is good… one of the worst things you can do is send in cops and moderators to arrest half the debate just because it’s not going in the utopic favor of a liberal.
Likewise, your dehumanizing people by arresting them, making them feel oppressed, for having these feelings and emotions… that’s how twisted our logic is in many countries… some people verbally advocate distrust of people for inconsequential X factor (race, ethnicity, whatever), calling them names or asking them to leave… but committing no violence… the response is to use police force on them, alienate them completely, removing all doubt from their minds, sending them to prison or fining them… what the fuck do you expect to come of this?
The main engine in Europe generating hate and dysfunction is the left, and their henchmen in government.
Dieudonne needs immediately pardoned and apologized to. I recall when it came down to Charles de Gualle imprisoning Sartre, he responded “One does not imprison a Voltaire”.
Europeans used to be intelligent enough not to launch pogroms against intellectuals and critics. I’m afraid we are seeing the rebirth of the Second Nazis Empire, lead by the very people thinking they are preventing it. The Facebook censorship is some serious Gestapo stuff. Reporting on somebody though, with the intent to have them jailed, is some deeply scary shit.
Many countries, including the UK, have blocked people from traveling to their countries on the basis if these laws. I think, people who report non violent, free speech offenders, as well as the judges and prosecutors insane enough to go against the message if the enlightenment, from our shores.
At this rate, in twenty years, we’re going to have to deploy squads like in the movie “Inglorious Bastards” to universities and courts across Europe to tackle these Nazis with baseball bats and forehead carvings, until the UN Army is able to regain ground and retake Europe from these crazed fascist.
You cannot solve Europe’s terrorism problems without Dieudonne. He is the only political leader (and he is now a leader, imprisoned like Nelson Mandela) capable of bringing the moderate Islamic community into a position where they can speak freely. No more imposed presumptions on what constitutes a French citizen… they are fucking French, they are fucking citizens, no need to lecture them period… hear them out. Dieudonne has the street cred now, he should be brought into both houses of the French Parliament, and stand in front of everyone telling each individual off during questioning. People who get offended, are booted from office. Those who blush then laugh, respond with new onsite, gets to be part of Congress of the French Parliament… and they can take constitutional change to fix the Islamic phobic issues. They can change the laws to allow freedom of speech, so the Islamic community in France isn’t so alienated. The French do some crazy ass shit on the part of professors, like banning face veils, without thinking to the deeper issue… why are the white people scared and prejudiced against a fucking piece of cloth? None of this feminism bullshit… it’s a fucking piece of cloth, women can take it off at work even if their husbands demand it. Furthermore, it demonizes all Muslim men into being made to look like they are all bullies. Conservative religions like to wear head dressings, we have a Christian church that still does, the women choose to, are not forced to… they volunteer at the hospital. Am I scared of their headgear? No… but if we tried banning it on the bullshit arguments of Europe, it would cause similar hysteria.
After Dieudonne finishes in Paris, he can head to the Hague, then Geneva. Hit the international bodies, do his act, get half to laugh, the other half gets booted from office. World much closer to peace.
Or… we can continue this course… ineffective, ass backwards liberalism keeps the flow of migrants into Europe because Europe didn’t take NATO and it’s obligations seriously during the 2000s, ran from Iraq (Italy and Spain), fought tooth and nail, got a European left minded US president elected, and now all their hubris is coming home… refugees from all over the planet are swamping their shores, not caring one fucking bit about Europeans ideals, just wanting to not starve or be in the wars European Intellectuals let get awefully out of hand, oftentimes benefitting from.
The generation right now of refugees will see how pissed and alienated the previous ones are, will remember their treatment right now, and will only partially assimilate… they will accept the idea of “Germany” or “France”, or “Sweden”, democracy and so forth, but not the logic that made their lives a further hell. They will increasingly not vote along your party lines, nor advocate your beliefs. Their speech will be oppressed, and it will carry forth none the less with a grudging veracity, ripping apart your silly laws against it, denouncing your ideas. A lot if current white Europeans… your children will in many cases side with them. They are going to look at you in the same way youths loom at their racist grandparents in the US. Its more or less the same phenomena… overthrowing the racism of the old order.
If Europe was really scared about security… it would if had fully formed rapid deployment forces to seal off the birder if Turkey, and coast guards and navies patrol Spain, Italy, and Greece… slapping up walls at land borders only a few kilometers long. Instead, the insanity of the left has forced countries to slap up much larger defensive borders. The population in in hysteria.
Had you provided a good defensive force to keep the terrorists out, you could of funded refugee camps across the middle east and Africa. These are Euro caused wars… abandoning Bush in Ramadi and Falluja, that’s where ISIS got its first foothold. Encouraging thinking like Obama, even giving that idiot a Nobel Peace Prize. He pulled out before Iraq was done, in your image. Filled with your shitheaded ideals. You pushed hard for a invasion of Libya, did absolutely nothing in Syria. End result… the Europe now won’t be the Europe 30 years from now. If definitely will not be to the satisfaction of the left’s outlook.
