slightly old news, but… automated robots trundling around the place powering themselves by capturing and digesting, ie eating, living creatures… and apparently there has now been military interest in the project.
I read the article and it’s an interesting concept how this chamber of bacteria change a slug into bio-gas. I wouldn’t mind learning more about this ‘bio-gas’, in order to learn just exactly what it is and how it refuels the battery cells. I see this as a good way to help minimize over-growth of these slugs, should there be any over growth. Given our unstable environment, due to our ignorance, there begins a gap that grows ever larger between all natural things, one type lacks what it needs and becomes endangered, while others have an over dose of what they need and begin to proliferate like rabbits.
Having said that, I fear that this is just another atrocity of man kind against mother nature. Killing these slugs for the good of mankind, or atleast for more fertile and wheat producing fields so that we can have food, will turn into yet another crippeling stab at our already fragile natural environment.
Well, bacteria is added to river soil what is make into a ball…but I never heard of bio gas idea??? Quite weird because normally slug that will later gives out bio gas, do you need a solid container to contain it??? Normally bio gas is kept to be cooking gas in India.
