There have been all kinds of ideas, ideologies, which are made of a wide variety of efforts. Despite human effort, human corruption effects all human expression. Organized religions and political movements / parties, they are what they are. Just like a dent in a bread pan will put a dent in the bread it makes, human corruption effects all ideology. We can either expect perfection, or not. Some people are even proud of defects, like they have said in other threads. When I see an ideology, I think about effort. Effort seems more meaningful than the idea of being completely correct or right. Allot of ideologies claim to be completely right. I think it is human nature to be over confident at times. But with confidence comes effort.
What is wrong or bad about corruption?
It is true that none of us is perfect but i do not see any reason why one should be proud of his deficiencies.
I am not comfortable with the notion of- I am what as i am, as that indicates the reluctance to change for betterment.
And also, that nullifies the whole purpose of the human life. Otherwise, there would be no difference between humans and animals as they are always as they are.
So, that quality belongs to animals, not humans.
Having said that, it is also true that we may be overconfident or even wrong at times, with both of about our ideology and efforts. But still, the efforts are required for betterment, according to one’s perception, because that keeps the virtuous intent going. And, that would put us on the right path, sooner or later, even if we make some wrong moves.
If we lose righteous way, something would be lost. But, if we lose righteous intent, everything would be lost.

That’s up to you to define. We all must make our definitions of things.
You seem to be saying an imperfect something is better than a imperfect nothing.
I’m not siding with or defending imperfection and corruption.
I’m just saying that effort = ideology * corruption.
Yes.
BTW, nothing is simply nothing. It is absence of both; perfect and imperfect. Or, it is status quo, stand still where it is, neither back nor forth.
I do not disagree with that either. That may happen, or rather i should say that it happens most of the times.
All i am adding here is that efforts are necessary, even if they attract corruption.

Corruption is bad by definition.
Corruption implies imperfection, I suppose, but not vice versa.
It is bad by use and common definition even dictionaries agree

But, Corrupt/tion can be positive.
You can corrupt good but
if you can corrupt good to bad can you not corrupt perfect bad/evil to good?
A tiny example: Penicillin.
You can take too much penicillin, or too little.
You can use it to save lives, but those lives will consume animal and plant lives and maybe even over populate.
All kinds of bads and goods co-exist and sometimes even cause each other, in the world of moral confusion.
Nobody can do all the work for ya, as regards making definitions of good and bad. It’s something we do as a life task.
If the universe is one, then good and evil also come from one. It may even go so far as the two are an illusion, and there is only the one. That is not the human paradigm though.
So corruption is a tool for good and evil. Although if I really think about it neither is either.
I’m assuming true good and true evil is like an esoteric, hidden, difficult truth of the universe that only the peak of spirits understand. It is like a game that requires really high CPU and RAM. But, some really simple things can be helpful too. Do humans have it good? I think so, even though I used to think humans had it bad. I didn’t know back then. Now I see how spoiled and retarded everything gets. Imagine living in perpetual danger, and disease, without any hope for an afterlife, but being forced to keep living, by your own body. The culture is of trivial and minor, amusing ideas. It is not about how to barely survive for 5 more years. Not only does ease spoil people, but it also makes them soft.
