Interesting video I came across. Another failed attempt at building utopia. It looks like Elizabeth and her husband overestimated the abilities of German people. Too much idealism?
I’m not sure it was so much an excess of idealism but rather seriously misguided idealism coupled with an abundance of idealism.
Which isn’t terribly surprising given another rather famous attempt at establishing a Germania . . .
“Abundance” is hardly the world I would use to describe any of this. Neither is “Idealism” for that matter.
“The German People” also have little to do with this. Germania has been established successfully thousands of years ago and still exists and prospers.
