Physical pleasure and pain are spatial as well as temporal. Emotional P&P are temporal, but are they spatially extended too? For example, on solving a difficult Su Doku, I get a brief feeling of satisfaction - is this pleasure actually distributed (spatially) across my brain, or is it merely temporal, like a smell?
