Euphoria by sleep depravation?

I’ll admit right now that what I’m doing probably isn’t healthy and we can leave it at that.

I work a night shift and often want to take extra time awake to utilize business hours. So I start to feel sleep depravation. Kinda blurry vision with every light too bright. But I find it’s almost like an antidepressant. I feel almost buzzed, in a dream world even while awake. I feel like I can better appreciate simple things like the sun and a warm chair, soft cloth. It sounds like the kind of symptoms of an extacy high. In fact I’m sure my reasoning in terms of pure logic (calculating a bill, explaining dates and directions) are all compromised like one would have getting high.

I’m just wondering if anyone knows of a correlation where sleep depravation can almost become like an addictive drug.

I do this when things are going really bad. I know what you mean. It makes me feel like everything is okay, until I finally get to sleep.

I experience almost daily, addictive ? Not for me, desirable ? Most certainly.

I have a different take on it. I find myself feeling rather ill when I’m deprived of sleep, and I cirtainly dont like it. I become irritable and like you, hypersensitive, though not always in a good way. (any stimulous that I dont control make me irritated)
Though I dont realy care that I feel this way. I agree that it feels like a drug, I would say its akin to the feeling I used to get when I was wasted on Canabis

When I used to do alot of coke and meth, it was like after 3 days or so, you could hardly really feel the drugs. The bulk of my altered state was the result of not sleeping. It felt nice.

All teenage girls have experianced this upon staying up for 18 straight hours giggling…as you grow tired, you experiance a sort of high comparable to pot use. I wouldn’t say it’s addictive, because the body WANTS to sleep.

People will do anything to get high these days.

I saw some kids try and smoke toothpaste once because these other kids told them they’d get high off it.

I’ve seen them draw on a piece of paper with a sharpie and smoke it.

Kids are creative, I’ll give them that.

Now here’s a drug I will never do.

Disgusting. Apparently the trip is comparable to shrooms or peyote, but STILL WTF?!

This is insane…

I doubt it has comparable affects to shrooms or peyote though. I may be wrong but reports and articles on less known and ‘‘easly obtainable’’ mind altering substances tend to stretch the story as much as possible, and if it does have comparable offects I’ll still pass

I would think the same, but I have heard personal reports from people who have used it.

Yea… i’ve heard of that drug

One time I was out and I saw some kids trying to smoke aregeno or cat nip because they were out of weed… hahahahah ](*,)

one time when we ran out of weed my friends were systematically smoking every plant in my house to test its psychadelic effects… ok we were kinda despreate.

as for the sleeping issue, when i am up for extended amounts of time i feel the same tired indifference that seems to turn the world into somewhat of a picture show. And i admit that i can do good work in this state. my mind tends to run itself subconciously; if i made a post for example it might contain a few spelling errors but i might not remember writing it the next day.

is this healthy? probably not. addictive? not to me… Euphoric? everything seems more calm… but not by much… it still feels very satisfying to go to sleep when you’re tired.

besides, don’t you think that is sleep depravation was addictive (possibly described as insomnia) don’t you think that a free drug like that would become extremely abused?

it is not inour nature to abuse it because it is a vital survival mechanism. like a feeling of ecstasy tiredness is simply forces acting on your brain, and in this case, do not seem to have addictive powers.

hahahahahaha
