I am posting this under Social Sciences because it seems much more a discussion of the effect of thoughts upon society than a discussion of those thoughts, but I suppose it could really be either.
I’ve been thinking about writing an essay on the topic of evolution and society - I am not an evolutionist, nor a creationist, nor a proponent of Intelligent Design - at least, I am not any of these things in the traditional sense, and if anything my thoughts run much more with the creationist side - however, I would most like to see a cease of some of the senseless antagonism of the two sides. As such, I have been thinking of writing extensively about what seems one of the silliest arguments in the roaring debate - the connection proponents of intelligent design draw between evolutionism and Nazism.
Many of the ID camp would like to say that it is evolutionism that gives reason to nazism, racism, and especially the idea of a master race, by making us think that there is some direction in which man is heading - I think this is a drastic misunderstanding of the influence of evolution - this may certainly be the case where evolution is little understood, but were it more understood, it would become apparent that we can draw no conclusions on either the course of human evolution (will we become physically stronger? Mentally stronger?) and no understanding from what sector these advances may come - even that a form of “religious” thought may form a necessary ingredient in the advances in our science, though it may be transformed beyond recognition in the recombination. I also think this was already understood before World War two by thinkers like H.G. Wells, in the Time Machine, and even by Nietzsche. After this, is is easier to make a religious argument for racism, because religion necessarily makes it easy to believe in a true or ideal - whether or not this is the case. Both these arguments lead to an importance on teaching evolution in schools, without addressing the factuality of evolution.
I’m just curious to get some feedback. What think you?
I believe that there may in fact be a “Master Race” and not coincidentally that race would probably be Whites of European decent.
However, once you figure this out, then you will realize who the enemies are – they are the masters while we are the slaves to them. When you realize for the first time that you are a slave (for your lifetime), then you will want to revolt. The problem is understanding your enemy. Take a good, long, hard look at the top 100 white families of the entire world. I am curious to know how many of them are Judeo-Christians? Then, study what corporations they own. You will see that they own the world’s energy supplies, which is power in its pure form. After that, you will see that they own the nuclear weapons, which is power in its secondary form. So, what then can the “helpless” slaves do…
That is the question. How do you overthrow the “Master Race”? You find out who they are and cut their heads off…
Realoriginal aside, I think NAZIs are a bad example to use. We can’t look at Nazism dispassionately, most people having been brought up to believe that it isn’t even a form of socialism.
Right now we can’t even study the intellectual differences of race or gender in a logical manner. If you attempt to look at it them scientifically, you get shouted down as a racist or sexist for even considering the subject, regardless of your theories or whatever evidence you’ve discovered. The president of Harvard became the object of heavy derision for even suggesting there are intellectual differences between men and women, and was eventually forced to denounce his statement. Academia puts forth an even more virulent form of blind faith than the church in this country, which is manifest not only in the social sciences, but in climate science as well.
the old pres may have made statements that went beyond suggesting sex mental differences to explain how absent women in those fields are. Regardless he would have been attacked for only suggesting sex mental differences.
the research is being done and also becoming more accepted as the mountains of evidence stack up though, quacks can dissmiss it but they’lll eventually need to accept it as true.
Marilyn vos Savant has the highest recorded IQ of any human, but you can go on with your “men are smarter” charade if it boosts your ego. Does she do anything special with it? No, not really, but she could if she wanted.
I have a high respect for Germans, because they’re a brilliant, strong culture, though I’m not into elitism of one group of people, as there are variations of every breed within a race. I’ve also grown to respect Africans, they fascinate me. They may not be noted for being the brainiest or most civilized of the world, but they have an animalistic freedom that whites can’t lay a finger on. Their lifestyle of simplicity is one I envy. It’s not that I’m against high intelligence, only those who use it without calculating the consequences of its misuse. You’re damned if you do and damned if you don’t; there’s no “right way” for the course of evolution.
