Exploring Emergence – A New Philosophical Framework

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share my latest work on Emergence, a philosophical framework I’ve been developing that explores how meaning, intelligence, and governance arise naturally over time. I’ve written six books covering various aspects of this, and I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Here’s a brief overview of each:

  1. Emergence – The foundational book that introduces Emergent Philosophy, exploring how truth, ethics, and meaning emerge over time rather than being imposed.
  2. Emergent Physics – A deep dive into how emergence applies to the laws of the universe, offering a fresh perspective on physics, causality, and reality.
  3. Ivory – A personal and mythological love story, blending philosophy, storytelling, and human connection.
  4. The Meaning Crisis – Examining the post-labor future and how humanity must redefine purpose as AI and automation reshape our world.
  5. The People’s Presidency – A political manifesto outlining a new model of governance based on participatory democracy, decentralized leadership, and emergent decision-making.
  6. Digital Twin – Exploring the future of AI, identity, and consciousness, and how digital twins could revolutionize human interaction and knowledge sharing.

All of these books are available for free to read or listen to on my website: wendellsdiary dot com.

I’d love to engage in discussion about any of these ideas. Have you thought about how emergence shapes philosophy, politics, or the future of intelligence? Let’s talk!

Looking forward to your thoughts.

Do you have any thoughts on emergence you can write here?

Emergent philosophy seems like mainstream atheism, the way you’ve described it in your OP (handwaving that we got here from apes, because obviously we were once apes and now we’re all sciencey and human, so therefore we emerged from zero).

I’d be interested in the nitty gritty summarised here, as well as the Emergent Physics idea.

Do you believe in evolution via gene mutation? Is it part of your Emergent Philosophy?

As a scientific theory it is profoundly un-scientific, but maybe as a philosophical gloss on science (“Woo”) it may have a niche.
