fate; the one night stand version

the fatalist in the ultimate sense embraces an ignorace regarding the future, the fact that we don’t have complete control over everything we experiance doesn’t mean there is an inevitable fate waiting for all of us, it means that the location of certain objects or phenomona in relation to other objects or phenomona are out of our control and can cause reactions in a natural way(natural as in abiding by the laws of physics)

These reactions can effect people and if a person is in a specific place , at a specific time, while a certain object is passing through the same space at the same time or some other phenomona is occupying that space at that time and the said agent comes into the sense range of that said person, effects will be felt.

Just because i have relatively no control over these external occurances, as they occur naturally, doesn’t mean i have no free will. before one can make a choice one has to be aware of options, and hence its our awareness of our limitations that sets the boundaries for our will.

if one confuses freedom from limitations with freedom of will, one has most likely mistaken the will for action. A will itself is not sufficiant to incur results, there is a certain complex of biological functions which have to follow a choice in order to incur effects.

When these biological functions are taking place, we become more aware of our physical limitations(speed of running, hand eye coordination, hight of jump, physical strenght/endurance ect.)

So, freedom of will is nothing more than a mental awareness and preperation for action and the limitations we set on our will are based on the assumptions we derive from experiance and empirical data. Anyone who lays claim to having complete freedom of action or an unlimited capacity is likely a local resident of an asylum.

so, in this respect, we have our free will, but our will is limited by our awareness and our beliefs(facts).
