Films to Learn From

Hilfen Sie mir bitte.

Can anyone recommend some interesing films (I enjoy visual learning, the symbols are formed in 2 dimensions rather than the 1 from reading), or perhaps, an on-line store for things such as this? Anything educational in the realm of music, theology, mysticism, sufis, the brain, the universe, writers, philosophers, psychology, politicians/international relations, etc… ?

I’m hungry, and I’d like some help with directions.

Any contribution would be appreciated.

I would recommend the 7 pt. Blues series produced by Martin Scorcese.
A special on the Human Brain produced by PBS.
The Duel from PBS (About the Hamilton/Burr rivalry and faceoff)
The Doors of Perception (Which is more about William Blake than Huxley)
Civil War produced by Ken Burns is a classic.
Baseball produced by Mr. Burns as well.
etc, etc, etc…

Shit, I recommend deleting all your channels except PBS (Unless, unlike me, you have something beyond basic cable… Perhaps the Discovery Science Channel?

Well, since you’ve already got PBS this one should be familiar - http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/elegant/program.html. Amazing program, and nice that it’s available online.

i-zachariah, I found this today, but havent seen it myself.
Here’s a link to the karen kwiatkowski archive and I believe the documentary is contained in the 5th article down from the top. The one titled “Finally a movie exposes the neocons.”

lewrockwell.com/kwiatkowski/ … -arch.html

If you’ve never heard of Ms. Kwiatkowski you might enjoy her. She was employed in the pentagon office of middle eastern affairs, or maybe it was asian affairs at the time Douglas Fieth was appionted the under secretary of defense for policy, so she has a unique perspective on how the Bush adminstration used their power to fill important posts with loyal like minded individuals.

It’s rather expensive though.
