Ask a dead man. What can we learn from that experiment? We can learn that not even a dead man knows or can repeat it. So, what is one thing death definitely is? Non-knowingness? Does non-knowingness mean 0 ability to ‘know’ or ‘disapprove’ or ‘suffer’… for whatever is after life - even if we end up as worm food or in the case of the distant future of the universe end up being destroyed by a black hole… either way, we can feel no pain or suffering from such carnage - as we would already be dead and non-knowingness.
We can deduce from infinity that there is no limit to the process of existence, even if we induce from science and physics that there are physical limits… which one is correct?
I can deduce from the numerical infinity there are an infinity of numbers … even If I can only first-handedly define and identify a limited amount of them, there is room for an infinity more. I cannot define the numbers beyond which I already have… or the fastest I CAN define them in my life time… which would still be safe to assume there is still an infinity more numbers I CAN deduce from infinity (or imply by definition)…
Actually, death is JUST the end of your biological existence. You may take on another form such as nothingness… I think real has the right idea, null is not that far away… just the distance between your ears
if you are incapable of language you are incapable of making sense of EVERYTHING -
Death is boring. At least to me. I’d rather wonder how I can best live my life than to wonder what my death is or what happens after it. Camus is having an effect on me.
if we are dead and not-knowingness, we would not ‘be’ worm food or sucked up by a block hole. that would merely refer to the molecules that once existed in our body. unless you mean some sort of existing but not knowing, but if we exist there’s no reason to assume we’re not knowing.
if the dead man exists and can’t repeat it, that’s because his body no longer works (by the very definition of dead) to use it to repeat it so it doesnt tell us anything about what death is or is not.
you can have an infinite number of a’s and not one of them is a b. although quantum mechanics seems to allow the possibility of anything, and in many worlds interpretation, everything.
Perhaps Death is just a return to what we seek - The unknown.
Yes, We do become ‘worm food’ and we most certainly become somthing different. I think the moment of death will be much like the moment of life. Darn, I can’t remember how that went exactly…
