I’m all for finding other feedback loops still stable, I think your ability to lateralize between the left and right hemispheres is mostly intact. My personality type slaves your area your part of the mind that your most active in, in my mind… it’s built heavily upon it, but isn’t actually it, it’s another region all together… I don’t have as much control over the basal ganglia as you do. I’m guessing we both have a 50-50 chance of identifying in ourselves a pathway he isn’t using correctly. There are a few pathways that go through your zone that doesn’t touch upon mine as much, I’m aware of,pathway them to a degree, but deal with them differently. Its the old Da’at vs Keter issue in Kaballah. Keter controls Da’at, but isn’t Da’at, Da’at is aware of Later, but doesn’t control it, but can exploit it as the function matures to a very high degree.
Just… it’s largely unknown territory with PE, if he is a schitzo, not all are necessarily suffering the same- there is variety in that population. Essentially, yeah… we would be rebuilding him. I generally turn away forcing someone out of their personality type, it can be done, but like… nature made them that way for a reason, if it’s a stable, functional type, I say let them have it, just be wise within it.
In PE’s case… fuck. We may nail it down exactly… but if he is absolutely biologically incapable of it, then it’s something you write off. We can try The King’s Speech approach and just train him up, hoping he starts sprouting white brain matter, but I’m a philosopher, not a doctor… I don’t actually know what proteins in which organelle is throwing stuff in his mind off, rate of regrowth if we do come up with a clever logical technique. I think we can ethically try to map it out, test him for logical inconsistencies- a equivalent to The Wisconsin Card Test, and apply methods to see if he can learn over time… it will be really helpful to a lot of philosophers, physicians, etc., who ate Googling for a alternative… but we can’t be telling him to take certain meds, or get off his meds… it’s dramatically beyond our scope of knowledge, we aren’t trained in pharmacology. It has to be pure philosophy, we we gotta feel our way for ethical limits.
So yeah… if PE stays on this site, and we all increasingly become aware of nuisances in his behavior, we can either ignore him, or regrow his head… if that is even possible, or at least make him… functional, somewhat reasonably consistent… he won’t think exactly normal, but there is bound to be a detour through some auxillary function. Its more than likely will pass through mine or your area, may be more than one pathway we uncover.
Just… it’s a option. I honestly doubt we can fuck him up worst applying variations of logic… just know this guy will come with a angry trigger if he doesn’t feel he is seen as super fucking amazing genius boy. You just gotta accept it if you press to hard, don’t go running to a moderator every time he explodes on you for trying.
