Four Influencers of Belief

Religion, Philosophy, Culture/Society, and Science

^The four influencers of belief. Religion is the most personal, having the most to do with one’s daily life and in its response; then philosophy, the foundations deepest in the mind; then culture, which is more forced on one (actively or passively); then science, which is the least personal. Religion has to do with mysticism.

I believe everyone has ideas on whether there is some ultimate power, an all-encompassing meaning or entity. This is one’s curiosity, not necessarily founded on logic or reality or science, of what could be. One’s philosophy is also always present, as an underlying drive behind one’s actions and beliefs, based on the other three influences. Culture is an obvious source for one’s beliefs as it has to do with the human society in which one lives, from which one gains a great deal if one’s knowledge. Science (not always or normally conducted by the self) is the empirical, objective truths to which one is exposed.

These four are the basis for all knowledge and beliefs one can have.
