I am thinking this is a old joke, likely never happened. Most women simply couldn’t handle a bob cat being tossed up in the air… the dynamics sounds false to me. This is likely a old practical joke.

Fox hunting continues to this day.
I was hiking one day and could hear a fox hunt going on in the woods around me. The hunters sit on their fat butts in their trucks, and let dogs chase the foxes for literally hours.
At one point the fox came exploding out of the tree line, running directly at me. He came so close I thought he was going to jump up in to my arms. He was exhausted and utterly terrified, running for his life.
And it was all just for entertainment.
Human beings are the idiot species. Not way back in the past, to this day.
