Free Speech In America Sadly Wasted

Nobody wants to talk about politics, current events, or differing opinions publicly anymore.

“The subject is just too negative, I don’t need that kind of negativity in my life. I stay away from negative things.”

“That’s too politically incorrect, we could get fired from our jobs and occupations if we’re caught talking about this. I am fearful.”

“That’s the wrong kind of think, you should listen to this paid government political propagandist to receive the correct form of thinking. They do all of my thinking for me so I don’t have to.”

For a nation that prides itself on free speech it’s interesting how our nation has become one of spineless mental pussies everywhere. Free speech in this nation is entirely wasted on a population of mental idiots who won’t even practice it.

There is nowhere to go other than the internet to talk about anything. There is no public debate, dialogue, communication, or exchanges anywhere to be found. We have become a nation of spineless cowardly anti intellectuals.

This is a good thread and so true.

It’s pathetic the way Americans are always crowing about their ‘freedom’ and ‘free speech’ as if they invented it and are the only country that has it. Actually the US is WAY down the list of countries with the most freedom. Number 57 the last time I looked

More than Britain, Canada, or Australia whatever variety you are.

Actually Canada and Australia are well ahead of the US. The UK was lost a long time ago. The US is just above Mongolia. That should make you happy :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

This site is horrible. You not only can’t delete your comments, if you ‘edit’ them then sticky beaks come along to see what you wrote BEFORE you edited. Typical dumb American site. Facebook needs to be blown to infinity for the same reason.

Maybe it’s New Zealand.

You can’t even own a gel blaster in some parts of Australia. And I also heard they have a lot of crooked politicians. Do they really have free speech in Australia?

In case anyone doesn’t know what a gel blaster is, gel blasters were supposed to be the “evolution of nerf”, basically a nerf that fires more environmentally friendly projectiles.

Last time I checked the Australians love rolling over for their politicians, especially with the latest covid shots. By rolling over, I mean bending over on their knees.

Because he’s a fat schizoid American fuck who likes to poke his sticky beak into others’ business and make assumptions about them that have nothing to do with him or anyone else on here.

You’re reallly starting to piss me off. Do I know you, or you know me?

Oh my. You should let them know so that they can change Australia’s ranking. Imagine not being allowed to own ‘gel blasters’ :exploding_head:

“There is no public debate, dialogue, communication, or exchanges anywhere to be found”

It happens in universities and social venues all the time, but it’s in a commodified form, and the participants are usually trivial about it. It’s just part of school or something to chat about over coffee, and nothing about their lives could be different by virtue of philosophy, anyway. But that’s most intellectuals. Philosophy today, especially, is more interpretation than ever before. In fact, never before has interpretation been so disproportionately more than the amount of change occurring because of it. Marx has no idea. I glad bro is dead so he doesn’t have to see the caricature that is the philosophy and leftism today.

What are you giggling at, tenzin? You are one of the worst offenders. Imagine a self-proclaimed buddhist encouraging others to slaughter our fellow animals for eating. Tsk tsk. You aren’t a buddhist’s butthole.

Everything you post is ignorance of everything, but you are rather funny and amusing.

Never change, I enjoy your comedic spectacle.
