A little bit of optamistic ideas for the future here.

Anybody here wanna talk about futurists and transhumanists?
I want to become more then what I am as a species, physically, and I would not mind being changed forever it if were for the better. I am a transhumanist but I can’t get my hopes up too high for the near future of civilization.

There are many technical possibilities in the future:

  1. We create computers smarter than ourselves, and they transcend us evolving independently from us and we will have no idea what they are doing-experiencing-living anymore. They may end up being trillions of times more “advanced” than us having experiences-emotions-lives that we will never be able to conceive.

  2. Something similar to the above happens, only we achieve this through the direct manipulation of our brain’s neural circuits and we connect them to chips and supercomputers etc. We transcend ourselves and become something else.

  3. We create perfect simulations of the real world on computers and exceed the reality of the real world and live within these simulations. Or we become brains in a vat where computers feed our senses information that are more real than our natural state.

  4. Any mixed up combination of the above 3.

Of course it may also end up being pure science fiction and none of these things will ever happen because we may end up being very limited in what we can achieve and how we can manipulate matter. After all we have been trying to get to nuclear fusion for ages and it seems we have no chance of reaching it. We may just be limited in many ways.

Cyborgs are the way to go. All technology is made for the purpos of the technologies creator. All supertech will be tools. Friends or weapons. (imo)

Why cyborg? Why not enhanced geneticlly there is the future I would want.
Make your skin look normal but as tough as gator hide. Gene enhanced organs that self repair. Eye sight as good as an eagle. Intestinal fluids that digest even rotten food or nutritionally poor food that maximize nutritional intake. All this could be possible with Gene mixing. Learning how to take genes from our fellow creatures here and blend them with ours would make a huge evolutionary leap. Yea, evolution is supposed to be natural but giving it a boost is natural too.
Choose the enhancements you want for yourself and your kids. Online gene choosing. make an apointment go in to the nearest clinic and with in a week or two, maybe a day or two you have gills or its equivilent to live under water and still be able to breathe air above water, a human amphibian. That would be too cool.
