I became a Democrat when Carter was president because I agreed with the respect he showed for human rights around the world, equal rights at home, his protection of the environment, his help for the poor, the homeless and mentally ill and the way he pursued peace. He continued to live these values throughout his life. Had the US consistently pursued his policies since then the world would be a better place today.
Are you kidding? Trump isn’t even in office yet. Of course, Trump will claim credit for it, and the Trumpers will believe him.
I read that the Biden and Trump teams cooperated in negotiations to bring this about. That would be good thing. Peace in Gaza and return of the hostages would be an answer to prayer.
Jacob shared this with me https://youtu.be/0zuk_7sRo5Y?si=2xPY6e_xIQokrUr2
The world is Trump‘s reality TV show.
Trump has been doing all sorts of stuff before taking office, among other things sending his negotiators to Israel. Its rather a fiction that Biden has anything to do with it as I read it. Watch the video.
All mainstream media is still against Trump by the way.
.
If that were true, do you not think that that would cause major antagonisms for the Semitic-Muslim populations both home and abroad, leading to terrorist attacks and more?
Such types of promises cannot be easily redacted, of which the outfall would be catastrophic.

Update: chaos as Hamas returns to Gaza
https://www.youtube.com/live/Joi_q_lfeSU?si=K84odG1Re0149T4d
The ceasefire has yet to be voted on, so the ceasefire won’t actually start until Sunday… Israel has not yet voted on the terms of the ceasefire.
The whole thing is being considered very divisive.
.
Young Gazan children saluting the Heads of the recent terror attacks, by chanting their support to them in the streets of Gaza last night.
Gaza’s ceasefire wish-list is insane… including the release of 110 [murderer] lifer prisoners and 1000 prisoners arrested on the 8th of October 2023.
.

Crazy demands from Hamas that Israel are more than hesitant to meet…
.
Do we want the 1000 released prisoners ending up at the shores of the UK?
So, where’s the “Trump effect” now, chic geek?
.
What has Trump got to do with Hamas changing the ‘goal posts’ by adding to the terms of the ceasefire with contentious additions, Felix?
…or did you not bother watch the videos? Watch the last one, especially.
.
It’s not something that Hamas hasn’t done before over the years, when negotiating ceasefire deals.
…but, as they say, “never negotiate with terrorists”.
Yesterday you asked if it was the Trump effect when it looked like it was a wrap; today Trump has nothing to do with it … What a difference a day makes!
Well the one at least very true fact here is that Israel did offer Hamas and PLA so many, many peace treaties over the years that acknowledged mutual territories and a dual control over Jerusalem, but which were all rejected. I won’t comment further on why or the reasons, but there it is.
.
Stop being obnoxious Felix! I said
“What has Trump got to do with Hamas changing the ‘goal posts’ by adding to the terms of the ceasefire with contentious additions, Felix?”
Well?
You expect logic from felix?
He is ok when his own team is on bat. Otherwise… you’re as useful talking to a trashcan and expecting anything other than gross odors.
.
They are known for doing that, so no surprise there, so not sure why Felix is having a tantrum…
.
Imagine wanting more of the last 4 years?
The world was looking on in horror at the madness that was unfolding under Biden’s tenure, and not a single ounce of embarrassment or shame was had by them.
Well, the fact that things are better under politician A than B, does not mean that A is good. That is only a relative comparison. The point is to make B silly and bad enough that you will accept ANYTHING so long as it’s not THAT crazy.
…and you have accepted it. A (Trump) is good because, um why again… oh yeah, its not B (Biden and the demonrat swampcreatures).
Let me reiterate:
Being better than demonrats does not mean actually being GOOD. You are comparing to the lowest possible standard here. Even a -100 is better than a -99, but you are still far deep into negative territory.
Let me know if youre getting this or not… if not, then ok. I just chill with my 80s and whiskey.
I’m afraid most of us are being deluded by the American trickster politics, and nothing is as it appears. Both parties are illusionists, swaying the public with their smoke screens, while all the while conquering and exploiting.
We are so ignorant that even history that goes back to the Balfour Declaration is wiped away by the antics of current political actors. Jimmy Carter had it right: Israel is an apartheid state. It is an injustice and horrific atrocities are committed, while the weak retaliation of Palestinians is deemed ‘Terrorism.’
We are a completely deluded society, almost schizophrenic in our take on the world, but most definitely hypocritical egocentrics that will at some time pay the price.
