I became a Democrat when Carter was president because I agreed with the respect he showed for human rights around the world, equal rights at home, his protection of the environment, his help for the poor, the homeless and mentally ill and the way he pursued peace. He continued to live these values throughout his life. Had the US consistently pursued his policies since then the world would be a better place today.

I read that the Biden and Trump teams cooperated in negotiations to bring this about. That would be good thing. Peace in Gaza and return of the hostages would be an answer to prayer.

Trump has been doing all sorts of stuff before taking office, among other things sending his negotiators to Israel. Its rather a fiction that Biden has anything to do with it as I read it. Watch the video.

The ceasefire has yet to be voted on, so the ceasefire won’t actually start until Sunday… Israel has not yet voted on the terms of the ceasefire.

What a difference a day makes!
Well the one at least very true fact here is that Israel did offer Hamas and PLA so many, many peace treaties over the years that acknowledged mutual territories and a dual control over Jerusalem, but which were all rejected. I won’t comment further on why or the reasons, but there it is.

I’m afraid most of us are being deluded by the American trickster politics, and nothing is as it appears. Both parties are illusionists, swaying the public with their smoke screens, while all the while conquering and exploiting.
We are so ignorant that even history that goes back to the Balfour Declaration is wiped away by the antics of current political actors. Jimmy Carter had it right: Israel is an apartheid state. It is an injustice and horrific atrocities are committed, while the weak retaliation of Palestinians is deemed ‘Terrorism.’
We are a completely deluded society, almost schizophrenic in our take on the world, but most definitely hypocritical egocentrics that will at some time pay the price.
