The graph, which I posted, started at 1937 so it did not just “show the last bit”.
The graphs which you link to show death rate and not incidence rates. Since medical care was improving, then one would expect that fewer people were dying. The introduction of the iron lung meant that those with chest paralysis survived in greater numbers. They were none the less paralyzed … as were others who contracted the disease.
DDT was not regulated in the US until after Silent Spring, which was published in 1962, made it a major target of environmentalists. It was not used as an insecticide before 1939. So DDT spraying does not account for the trends shown in the graph.
One has to be a little curious about that graph because it shows that Polio started sharply declining about 3 years before the vaccine was introduced. What was also going on?
… and it doesn’t show the sudden increase in the early 1980’s.
Whether vaccines are required to solve the disease problems and whether the vaccines create more problems than they solve are two OTHER issues.
Germs and their associated diseases CAN be fought by other means. That doesn’t invalidate the use of vaccines. But vaccines can be, and ARE, used to create variations of problems, which is sometimes worse than the original problem depending on your race, gender, and family.
But those are different issues than whether germs actually cause disease.
Polio outbreaks occurred most often during the summer and were blamed on viruses picked up in swimming pools. But summer was the time when DDT spraying was at its peak and exposure would have been greatest, either directly or through foods from animals eating sprayed crops. Summer foods like ice cream from DDT-sprayed dairy cows would have been a likely source.
In developing countries, polio is blamed on poor sanitation. But in the United States, polio was blamed on lack of immunity due to good sanitation! This is total illogical nonsense!
The man most responsible for the view that poliomyelitis was contagious was Dr. Simon Flexner, author of the famous (or infamous) Flexner Report, which led the way to the closing of the naturopathic and homeopathic colleges in the United States. Said Flexner: “It was not easy to establish in an individual case precisely how the disease was acquired; it was difficult to bring evidence that was not at all convincing that this disease was contagious.” In discussing Flexner’s report, L. Emmett Holt stated: “Even five years ago, if anyone had suggested that the disease under discussion was an infectious or contagious one, it would have been looked upon as a joke (Scobey, Archives of Pediatrics, May 1951).
The graphs that are included in this article clearly demonstrates an almost exact match of pesticide use and polio occurrences. The pesticide composite graph is the best example. It clearly shows that polio and pesticides occurred at the exactly the same time and with the same intensity of pesticide usage.
Where do flu viruses go to when people don’t have the flu? The flu virus occurs on an annual basis, thus, it is a good test virus for understanding the hypocrisy of germ theory in general.
Edward Jenner used cow pox to vaccinate for small pox. This doesn’t make any sense. Please address this issue as stated in my first post on this matter. The whole vaccination issue rests on the so called ‘scientific work’ of Edward Jenner who wasn’t trained as a biologist.
I don’t know where he gets his numbers and facts about DDT.
He says “after 1954, DDT was mostly an export product”
But according to the EPA, use of DDT peaked at 80 million pounds in 1959 and then declined to 12 million pounds in the early 1970s. That’s confirmed by other sources. www2.epa.gov/aboutepa/ddt-regula … urvey-1975
Lead arsenate use peaked around 1941. Which also does not correlate well with the frequency of polio. pubs.usgs.gov/fs/2006/3134/
It is not merely a matter of how much was used. It is also a matter of where it was used and for what purpose. If most of the DDT was used on cotton crops then it wouldn’t have had much effect on the health of the American citizens.
So you think that arsenic, lead, chlorine and fluorine are just harmless chemicals that only affect insects and not humans? Is that what you are saying?
Can you tell what the symptoms might be of anybody that has been poisoned by these chemicals? Maybe you should ask the World War I troops who served in France what the effects of these chemicals are.Shame on you!
Anybody who has studied how the endocrine system works knows to stay away from hormone disruptors.
You don’t know how it was used and how people were exposed, any more than I do. Fog truck, playgrounds, contaminated milk, contaminated ice cream… lots of speculation but no concrete link.
If you wanted to see if DDT caused polio, then you would have to look at populations which you know were exposed and also at populations which you know were not exposed.
In the absence of that kind of data, you need to look at general trends. Is there a relationship between amount of DDT (or other chemical) dumped in an area and the rates of polio?
There does not appear to be such a relationship on your graphs.
Hey, maybe by 1955 there were fewer fog trucks, maybe people were more careful applying DDT and it only went onto crops which did not directly affect kids. But you have not shown that in any of your posts. And you still have not explained polio rates before DDT was first heavily used. You attribute it to lead arsenate but that’s a completely different chemical. It’s odd that both lead arsenate and DDT would cause the same polio symptoms.
BTW: Lead arsenate poisoning does not have the same symptoms as polio. We know what the symptoms are because farmers poisoned themselves while spraying crops.
Think of it this way:
You are a small country in Europe and for the first time in your history, you go to war. Your first what is with Germany from which you learn a great deal about how to fight wars and how to build both general and specialized weapons. You survive the war, running the Germans out of your country. But then the French show up … another war?
The Germans and the French are very different people, yet they are still people and fight their wars somewhat similarly with similar weapons. And as the French become an issue and threat, you already have the weapons technology and warring wisdoms developed due to your prior war with Germany. Thus France doesn’t really get to go to war with you because you defeat their very first attempts at aggression.
Innoculation
The war with one potential enemy is prevented due to the war with a different enemy that wasn’t prevented.
So by infecting a human body with the Cowpox virus (any strain of Vaccinia), the body builds weapons (Antibodies) that happen to also be usable again smallpox because smallpox is a very similar virus.
Antibodies work mostly by covering the invader so much that it cannot function to reproduce to do much harm. It is like old standard for the “Problem of the Jews” wherein most countries required the Jews to wear a specific color, yellow. By doing so, the Jews could not cause the types of disruption they were so very capable of doing. The yellow garb acted as an “antibody” preventing further harm.
Your body produces antibodies by physical contact and identifying foreign shapes (the antigens). Macrophages engulf the invader but then expose the antigen portion of the invader as it travels to the thymus organ. The thymus organ is the first stage “weapons manufacturer”. The thymus provides basic weapons stock called “T-helper cells” of many varieties that are to be used to produce antibodies once distributed. As the macrophage enters the thymus, the exposed antigen inadvertently comes in contact with a T-helper cell of a particular type that will begin reproducing due to the contact with that particular molecular shape of antigen.
Those many new T-helper cells travel through the body to get to a lymph node where they encounter “naive follicular B-cells”. When the T-helper makes contact with the B-cell, the B-cell is activated into reproducing while maintaining the chemical signature of the T-helper antigen key. And as the B-cells continually reproduce, many eventually mature into “Plasma cells”.
The plasma cell (named for its use within the blood plasma) is the final stage of manufacturing for antibody weapons. A plasma cell is large enough that it automatically begins releasing proteins that have the counter-lock for the very same antigen chemical key signature that the macrophage had carried into the thymus. Those counter-locking proteins are the antibodies that directly attach to (lock onto) the antigen of the invader, thus disabling it and preventing further infection and a war.
Secondary Response
All of that was the “Primary Response”, that first war with Germany. And because of that first war/infection some of the B-cells wind up going through a mutation process at “germinal centers” producing “centroblasts” and “centrocytes”(schools where pupils are taught to learn, centroplasts, and about the evil Germans or Jews by experienced “follical T-cells”, yet don’t always get the story exactly right = “mutated history lessons”). And many of those mutations will quickly recognize anything that is anywhere close to resembling the original invader and attack it (prejudiced).
Thus your body is left with long term memories of chemical forms that at least slightly resemble an earlier enemy. And that allows your body to very quickly respond to new, slightly related enemies so quickly that you cannot become infected so much that you have to fight another war. You are immune to any who even slightly resemble your old grade school bully.
Socially
Realize that right NOW you, and most of the world are experiencing the effects of that exact same principle being used for generations on every level of society concerning every aspect of life, not merely “foreigners”. Wars were intentionally created for sake of future generations knowing how to prevent wars. Philosophical thoughts were injected into religions so as to ensure that future generations knew how to be strong in their faith. Foods were affected, people were affected, insects, vegetation, just about everything … because a few people knew how to ensure a stronger future (a little like Nietzsche’s philosophy).
But then it came time to create the “New World” because those in power had already done all they knew how to do to the old one. And along with creating a New World comes the need to destroy the old world.
How do you destroy an old world? You eliminate its memories; burn its books, documents, wise men, memory cells, antibodies, and anything that holds onto any notion of the past that was protecting its stability and structure. That is why you see people that were immune, no longer immune, people losing their ability to remember (eg. Alzheimer’s), documents disappearing, and children refusing to listen to their parents, and so on. And after you have softened the clay of the day, you then form knew “antibodies” (“phagocytes”, aka “fags”) for sake of the New World Odor. And that is done by introducing new infections and wars against what you want to be the new version of an old enemy. Obfuscation and Extortion.
You run into so very much anti-religion and more specifically anti-Christian people because they were trained (by germinal centers; schools, clubs, media outlets- films and music, and at times parents) to be phagocytes, negative, rebellious anti-bodies against anything that vaguely resembles the old world (regardless of any good they might have represented).
In RM:AO (that thing that you didn’t read) all of this is under the subject of “Magnetic Induction” (how to cause reverse response without directly pushing in the reverse direction).
When not being intentionally stored (New York, Atlanta,…) and spread, they simply settle in the environment where they infect animals, insects, or just lay dormant sometimes for centuries. Viruses are typically very robust, capable of laying dormant in dust or rocks are very long periods.
I have already thought about the army analogy but it doesn’t work. If you have two armies, army one has knowledge of the enemy and army two doesn’t have knowledge of the enemy. Army one has knowledge of the enemy, but doesn’t have any transport, food or weapons. Army two has no knowledge of the enemy, but has food, transport and weapons. Which army do you think is going to win this battle? This analogy demonstrates that having knowledge of the enemy is totally useless if you don’t have transport, weapons and food support. Thus, nutrition and diet is more important than knowledge of previous virus attacks. Thus, nature always favours the most efficient method. In this case, it is more efficient to keep the body in good condition with food and exercise than it is to rely on some distant memory of an old enemy. A well prepared army will always defeat an unfit, underfed and poorly organised army. Also, considering the matter of human health in terms of a military strategy is typical of male dominated medicine which sees disease and viruses as the enemy which needs to be ‘killed’. The feminine approach is to gently bring someone back to health slowly using natural means of vitamins, herbs, sunshine, exercise and clean water. The male idea is to bombard the problem with dangerous chemicals, cut, burn, radiate and destroy the disease using violent methods which are typical of male aggression. This all comes from ’ sky God worship’ which is a male dominated religious concept. The Earth gods of previous ages were more practical and based on natural cures. Thus, the burning of the witches during the dark ages has destroyed all knowledge of the Earth sciences and has been replaced by the violent, male dominated sky god concepts.
Why do these viruses lay dormant? Who told them to lie dormant? Logic please! Germ theory isn’t logical I am afraid. Why do you insist on supporting such an illogical and dangerous concept which makes pharmacy companies rich? Do you have any investments in the pharmacy industry? What do you mean by intentionally stored?
Biskind also describes physiological evidence of DDT poisoning that resembles polio physiology: “Particularly relevant to recent aspects of this problem are neglected studies by Lillie and his collaborators of the National Institutes of Health, published in 1944 and 1947 respectively, which showed that DDT may produce degeneration of the anterior horn cells of the spinal cord in animals. These changes do not occur regularly in exposed animals any more than they do in human beings, but they do appear often enough to be significant.”
He continues, bearing his exasperation in trying to make the obvious plain. “When the population is exposed to a chemical agent known to produce in animals lesions in the spinal cord resembling those in human polio, and thereafter the latter disease increases sharply in incidence and maintains its epidemic character year after year, is it unreasonable to suspect an etiologic relationship?”
Before finding Biskind’s work, I had spent months engaged in a nearly futile search for the physiology of acute DDT poisoning. I began to sense that American DDT literature as a whole intends to convey that DDT is not dangerous except with regard to its general environmental effects due to persistent bioaccumulation, and that the physiology of acute DDT poisoning is therefore trivial. DDT literature uniformly jumps from descriptions of symptoms, over physiology, to the biochemistry of DDT-caused dysfunction in nerve tissue. It was as though detectives had come upon a mass-murder scene and immediately became obsessed with the biochemistry of dying cells around bullet holes, while ignoring the bullet holes.
Eventually, I did find one study, in a German publication, of the physiology of acute DDT poisoning.4 The study confirmed that DDT poisoning often causes polio-like physiology. “Conspicuous histological degeneration was, however, often found in the central nervous system. The most striking ones were found in the cerebellum, mainly in the nucleus dentatus and the cortex cells. Among other things an increase of the neuroglia and a necrotic degeneration and resorption of ganglionic cells was found. The Purkinje cells were less seriously affected than the other neurons. Also in the spinal cord abnormalities of a degenerative nature were found. . . . such changes were not found invariably. . . there is neither an obvious relation between the size and spreading of the lesion and the quantity of DDT applied. . . . information of adequate precision about the nature of the anomalies is lacking.”
Thus we find that the cerebellum and the spinal cord are especially affected by DDT.
And more recently, in the works of Ralph Scobey, MD,5 I found that from ancient times to the early 20th century, the symptoms and physiology of paralytic poliomyelitis were often described as the results of poisoning. It wasn’t until the mid-19th century that the word “poliomyelitis” became the designation for the paralytic effects of both severe poisoning and polio-like diseases assumed to be germ-caused.
Today, various other forms of the word “polio” are still used to describe the effects of neurotoxins, although usually with regard to paralysis in animals. (See below.)
In contemporary Britain, a farmer turned scientist, Mark Purdey, has found substantial evidence that mad cow disease, a form of polio-like encephalitis, was caused by a government mandated cattle treatment consisting of organophosphate pesticide and a compound similar to thalidomide.6 Unlike most scientists, Mark Purdey became legally embroiled with the government during his research, and ” . . . was shot at, blockaded in his home to prevent him giving a lecture, and saw a new farmhouse go up in flames the day he was due to move in.”7
Morton S. Biskind had the courage to write about humans. His views fell into disfavor after the introduction of the polio vaccines, which was a grand act that proved in most people’s minds that polio was caused by a virus. By October, 1955, Biskind, whose works had been published in established medical journals and who testified before the Senate on the dangers of pesticides, was forced to self-publish his writings, one of which I found while browsing through an old card catalog. A scan of MEDLINE finds no other works by him except for a very tame article in 1972, warning that diseases incurred during a patient’s stay in a hospital are not necessarily due to microbes. He died not long thereafter, in his late 60s.
Virus Causation
A clear, direct, one-to-one relationship between pesticides and polio over a period of 30 years, with pesticides preceding polio incidence in the context of the CNS-related physiology just described, leaves little room for complicated virus arguments, even as a cofactor, unless there exists a rigorous proof for virus causation. Polio shows no movement independent from pesticide movement, as one would expect if it were caused by a virus. Both the medical and popular imaginations are haunted by the image of a virus that invades (or infects) and begins replicating to the point of producing disease.
In the laboratory, however, poliovirus does not easily behave in such a predatory manner. Laboratory attempts to demonstrate causation are performed under conditions which are extremely artificial and aberrant.
Poliovirus causation was first established in the mainstream mind by publications of an experiment by Landsteiner and Popper in Germany, 1908-1909.13 Their method was to inject a pulverized purée of diseased brain tissue into the brains of two monkeys. One monkey died and the other was sickened. Proof of poliovirus causation was headlined by orthodoxy. This, however, was an assumption–not a proof–of virus causation. The weakness of this method is obvious to everyone except certain viropathologists and has recently been criticized by the molecular biologist Peter Duesberg regarding a modern-day attempt to establish virus causation for kuru, another CNS disease.14 Since 1908, the basic test has been repeated successfully many times using monkeys, dogs and genetically altered mice. The injected material has even been improved–scientists now use a saline solution containing purified poliovirus. However, a crucial weakness exists–polio epidemics do not occur via injections of poliovirus isolate into the brains of the victims through a hole drilled in their skull–except, of course, in laboratories and hospitals.
If injection into the brain is really a valid test for causation then it should serve especially well as a proof for pesticide causation. I propose that pesticides be injected directly into the brains of test animals. If paralysis and nerve degeneration subsequently occur, we then would have proved that pesticides cause polio.
Going further, towards much higher standards of proof than those used to prove virus causation, pesticides could be fed to animals and found to cause CNS disease. This has already been done with DDT and the histology of the spine and brain was poliomyelitis. Virus proofs require injection, often intracranial, to get any reaction from the experimental animal. It is axiomatic that a theory is only as good as its ability to predict future events. I predict that such a test would prove pesticides to be the most reliable causative factor.
The injection of purée of diseased brain tissue into the brains of dogs was the method preferred by Louis Pasteur to establish virus causation with rabies, another CNS disease. A recent, definitive biography of Pasteur finds him to be a most important publicist for germ theory, a crucial promoter for the notion that rabies is caused by a virus. Unfortunately, his rabies experiments were biased and unsupported by independent studies.15
Therefore, in my opinion, even a cofactor theory, where pesticides catalyze predatory poliovirus activity, or where pesticides weaken the immune system to allow opportunistic predatory poliovirus activity, cannot stand up to simple, common sense explanations that include the concept of a symbiotic virus. Neurotoxins are enough of a cause for neurological disease.
The most obvious theory–pesticide causation–should be the dominant theory. But the opposite exists, a pervasive silence regarding pesticide causation juxtaposed against a steady stream of drama regarding virus causation. In light of the evidence presented herein, the silence could ultimately discredit mainstream medical science, institutions of the environmental movement, and the World Health Organization.
polio6LEFT: Before 1950, DDT was hailed as a miracle of progress that was virtually nontoxic to humans, in spite of the FDA’s attempts to keep it off the market. The photo above is one of several similar photos from DDT: Killer of Killers, 1946, by O. T. Zimmerman, PhD, and Irvin Lavine, PhD.
BELOW: Zimmerman and his colleagues advised that DDT be sprayed directly on dairy cows, their feed, bedding and water, in a 5 percent solution. Dairy products are ideal pesticide carriers because they are emulsions of fats and water. DDT is a waxy organochlorine with an affinity for fats, and is efficiently carried by dairy products through the digestive tract into the organs. In the mid-1940s the FDA advised against the use of DDT, especially on dairy farms. However, the pressure of the industry to promote DDT was overwhelming and the FDA’s advice went unheeded.
Years later, the compelling nature of the evidence ensured the passage of stronger labeling laws and restrictions from use on dairy farms. In the early 1950s, scientists at the US Department of Agriculture found that although fodder treated with DDT caused no damage to the cows eating it, the health of their calves was severely impaired, sometimes with fatal results. The DDT was passed along from cow to calf via the milk (Van Nostrand’s Encyclopedia of Science and Engineering, Van Nostrand Reinhold 1995, v 5, p1775). DDT is a neurotoxin and the calves developed something very much like infantile poliomyelitis. Calves weren’t the only infants drinking cow milk during the early 1950s.
You may have read my links, but you haven’t reacted or responded to the contents of those links in any meaningful way.
The science which supports vaccination is very shonky as is demonstrated by the methods used in the above experiments. If the pharmaceutical companies want to disguise their corruption, then, they have all the resources, money and influence to do so. We, the public, are used as experimental monkeys by these companies that just play with us and test unproven vaccines and drugs on us in order to increase their profits.
Regards the article -recently vaccinated person spreads polio - I would have to know more details of the circumstances of what happened here. Whether or not a deception has been perpetrated or not I don’t know. The sequence of events doesn’t make any sense to me. My personal knowledge of disease would lead me to believe that a fraud has been perpetrated here. Polio can only be caused by a neurological toxin. Thus, if anybody claims to have contracted polio by other means, then, they must be entertaining a deception of some kind.
