Nietzsche says some pretty damning things about German cookery in Ecce Homo. But recently I went to a German club in Sydney and ate ‘meat cooked to shreds, floury and greasy vegetables and puddings degenerated to paperweights’ and suffered no ill-effects. Perhaps I am not aware enough to notice the downturn in my constitution brought about by these foods, or perhaps one only suffers if one eats them all the time? What is your experience of German food? More scientific, perhaps, is the question: what is the nutritional value of German food? Is it lacking?
Was Nietzsche a trained physician?
Hahaha, oh how that made me laugh!
…but on a more serious note; do you not know Nietzsche is apparently a God that is always right and true and must be mentioned at the very least, once in every thread?!
I love German food! Saurbraten, rinderrouleden, spaetzel, fried 'kraut, hot potato salad- you name it! If you can simmer it in gravy or shove it into an animal casing some German will serve it.
Raw Hamburger on bread…irradiated ofcourse
