Getting Feedback

With the new Dusty Green style in place on the Forums we’re now looking at implementing a new feature: multiple different homepage looks based off your feedback on what type of design is both stylish and easy to navigate. While we believe there’s nothing wrong with this present style we’re constantly trying to improve the site and feel this could be a welcome addition. If you have time take a look at the first alternative style, codenamed ‘ILP White’.

Whatever happened to Chronicles? That was my favorite of all time. Is it possible we could get it? Or atleast something similar to it?

It’s not available for version 2.0.6 of phpBB, so we can’t install it. But if the guy who created the style updates it for this version will look at installing it as it was very populare choice.

Since there has been no feedback, I’m going to take that as everybody is happy enough with the current style. I’m going to leave ILP White online for a while more then it will be removed.

I dont even go through the main page anymore. There’s no reason for me to. Everything I want is on the forums.

That’s good to know… I just wanted to know if people used the main homepage much, it seem to me that it gets minimul use.

Hey, it would be really neat to have a reason to, though! More content is always better!

You could implement an article submission system a la slashcode or something? Perhaps you could contact professors and give them their own soap box to publish thoughts that they just want people to read, not make money off of. I’m sure there’s a way to make the front page more than just a simple portal to the forums!

Well I would have hoped the Submit News button might have been used.

Yeah, the current pages have a kind of metallic feel to them whereas the new green/white style is an improvement.

I’d like to see the format more like a pile of A4 sheets, like, say, this pile of writings on my desk at present.

Maybe I’m just old-fashioned!

Just a presentation that’s more in keeping with the nature of the subject.

like the green and white , it isn’t as garrish , but the old one is kewl to .
