God/divinity prior to mankind?

God/divinity prior to mankind?

Were Dino’s the living form of divinity?

Or does divinity only get involved with intellects [consciousness with language]? …once arrived.

Strange how intelligent creatures like killer whales, play with their prey ~ anyone would think its a game, but how does a language free thinking entity like a whale compose such notions? Surely ‘nature’ is behind it all! Or maybe nature works at a subliminal [to it [‘nature’]] informational level, in other words, there is no ‘nature’ but the collective effects of the language of nature.

What kind of response were you looking for?
Things like creation and the problem of evil have already been talked about elsewhere.
What sucks is that all we’ve got is creationism and evolution. 2 paradigms. Instead of having 10 or more.

Interesting - do you have some other possible paradigms in mind?

For my part, it seems to me that creation and evolution are two sides of the same coin, so to speak.

The only thing i’ve got as an alternative is that life is a eternal growing tree-like formation. It moves very slowly, but it has a subconscious, and it somehow formed life out of itself, in a non darwinistic fashion.

Darwinism and big bang theory are brothers. If stars and planets were created intelligently or grew out of a simple living energy, it would defeat the whole atheism thing. Then we have divine evolution, where god has the power to gradually form new life, but that leads to the non-all-powerful god issue that christians want to avoid.

It seems you’re aiming at an evolutionary form of pantheism, no? I quite like it.

But I must say I’m also not opposed to the whole thing finding its source and origin in some transcendent higher, some unifying principle that stands above and behind the cosmic process.

Pantheism vs. panentheism, I guess - I generally don’t like isms, but occasionally they come in handy.

Or my Caugant + information/communication based paradigm.

For billions of years all that communication [the universe, life] has been interacting with mindfulness ~ the stuff of mind, and/or with reality; whatever ‘it’ ‘is’.
What I would say ‘it’ [?] is, is; a ‘place’ + where emptiness is equally real as earth and sun, and meaning communicates and communes with shape and image [i.e. all join in that effort as if ‘one’].

communication/communion here is what connects us [the spirit [mind/mindfulness]] to the physical world, and so assumedly whatever that denotes to us, also effects the pre-human world. Nature is all of the above.

  • seems something of the ultimate ‘game’, no?
think ‘skyrim’ [the pc game] but for real or something ~ but where dino’s, whales and lions have all joined in the game over the years.

  • or, maybe everything is simply being played out, and we living beings have some kind of sense of that?
