Gods Wager.

Heaven forever or hell forever. Given this wager would you choose infinite death? It’s somewhat thematically the same of my more current threads, but different as well.

Why so many threads about a god in whom you do not believe? Is this another gun to the head wager? If so, I choose not to choose or, forced to choose I’d opt for oblivion of the mind after death. Debating fundies about their ideas about god is like catching fish in a fishbowl. What if there is a god who exists who is more than these petty descriptions? One who is not into wagers, but is a force that creates, sustains and reclaims? What if God is the sum total of all that exists?

Well… I’ve actually been sent to hell, so I know a few things about this topic… not many people can make the claim of being sent to hell, simply, having hellish experiences.

The way the Wager works, is if you could choose non-existence before you got the answer of your fate from Gods wager… would you choose oblivion forever. It seems the best choice, sure you might get heaven forever, but if you didn’t have to go to hell forever before you heard the answer, it seems most rational to choose oblivion, on the off chance that you actually do go to hell forever. I know I wouldn’t be arrogant enough to think I’m going to heaven.

ec—what kind of hell have you been in…I need to know this

I can’t see how any human, in this flyspeck of existence, could merit an eternity of either reward or punishment. The time is out of joint. If those are my only choices, I opt for oblivion.

My hell is major depression. I would not wish this condition on anyone, friend or enemy. What was/is your hell?

Well… let’s see… I’ve seen the whole world turned into robots to exact the greatest amount of psychological torture, I’ve been possessed constantly, which hurts like hell, I’ve been through various bodily hells… leg crossing hells, scratching hells, breathing hells, peeing hells, pooping hells, farting hells, swallowing hells… these hells are very difficult to explain to people who haven’t experienced them… they determine your fate, and it’s always bad. I’ve had possessors try to shave my eyelids with razors, try to bite my tongue off with my teeth, try to chop my penis off, try to throw me off ledges and out of airplanes when the cabin is depressurized. It takes all of my might to fight them, and sometimes I lose the battle… I really don’t feel like I have any control whatsoever.

I can’t believe any of these hells are literal. What are you trying to say?

Oh yeah… starvation hells, vomiting hells, (you can be possessed to not eat food or to vomit on command)hmm… let’s see if I can explain this one, scent hells… the voices will say “It’s time you smelled shit” and then I do… I’ve had souls rot in my own soul as well, which hurts like hell, umm… that’s a pretty complete list.

Ier, they’re actually literal.

Does this account for your fight with some concepts about God?

I’ll explain a possession in this way… have you ever just had the urge to jump off some great height, but didn’t… it’s a common urge for people.

Now multiply that by 100, and know that there’s another being inside you trying to get you to do it by taking over your central nervous system. It’s very easy to know when another being is inside you.

No my fight against God was about sexual stratification.

Was or is? What do you mean by sexual stratification?

Heaven if an infinite world, is forever, and you cant have two infinite realities, so hell cannot be forever. Hell is also a really problematic notion such to describe a real world!? E.g. We can describe finite, infinite and multiverse worlds, but the properties of those may contain ‘evil’ in some manner [the finite world anyhow] yet aren’t built of ‘evil’.

Umm… why can’t you have two infinite realities?

0.111…
0.222…

Both infinite, both different.

Or how about this:

0.111…
-0.111…

Heaven and hell forever. See how simple.

Reality will always be the thing that anything else is in or part of. If you have two spheres it must be in a third n all that.

I do understand how infinite sets [injectives bijectives etc] work lol

Logically there can only be one eternity or this thread is going to hell! :stuck_out_tongue:

There are several “beings” inside you; they comprise the psyche–different voices for different situations. And yes, I’ve suffered that form of vertigo. No big deal. One voice says jump; a stronger voice says don’t jump. What does all this have to do with sexual stratification? I agree with Amorphos; there can’t be two infinities. One would consume the other.

Possession is i think similar to the ‘god helmet’ thing [google it if you don’t already know]. when you put the god helmet on you can perceive that there is someone there like a presence or something, but there isn’t actually anyone there, all that’s occurred is some magnets have been rotated around the cranium.

The perception has the ability to perceive itself ~ because its an instrument which does that [perceives], and that’s how it perceives others i.e. By mimicking that.

There is never ever another person in you, no god nor devil may enter, it’s all illusions because we dont understand our instrumentation correctly.

William Blake wrote his prophetic poems in which every aspect of the human psyche has a voice. The drama is in the conflicting voices. So how many voices populate your psyche? Are they in conflict? Does this not say more about you than it does about In some god? In multiple personality disorder each voice claims to be the total person at one time. In the “normal” human psyche, the disparate voices are only aspects of personality. None claim to be the total person.
