The tactics of eros
get stronger against resistance.
Quick sand whirlpool awaits juxtaposed lemon
whiteness curdling from a stillness.
Incidental usage breaks off
from symbolic bars unconverted to a dogma stop sign
for mechanic meaning.
Churned image-sense pecks,
chips off tiny flakes of sexed up suggestivenss.
Hurried heard, the hour is sitting bodiless
but embodied by a repetitive organic spasm.
Petter out.
Having read this poem as carefully as i can given my drunken state (forgive me that, for i am at my best thus), I get the feeling this is a poem about the human condition creating the need to procreate… the unwillingness thereforth, the consequent biological rebellion, and ultimate dissatisfaction.
That may just be my interpretation.
I like this poem, specifically the first and last stanzas. The second confuses me slightly, but this could well be purposeful on your part, to show the to quote juxtaposed position of the alcohol (as i interpret) to try and combat the natural drive.
Certainly the third stanza confuses me very well… From my reading, i get a sense of (in context with my interpretation) the internet.
Well, it is obvious perhaps that i have confused the meaning of your writing, but at the same time, if you did mean as i have interpreted, then the penultimate line is very pleasing “but embodied by a repetitive organic spasm.” For my part the organic spasm reads almost as “orgasm”.
Well, poetry is such, that it is open to the readings of all minds, thus it’s meanings can be taken in various ways. Perhaps i have read it much differently to what you felt whilst writing it. But none the less i enjoyed it.
