Government Gluttony = Richrichrichrich??

From many sources i have been told the government spends bogus dollars on the military. i.e 800 dollar toilet seats, according to my USC graduate sociology professor.

Doesn’t this mean our economy is actually strong and that the government has money to waste?

This whole capitalistic democratic government thing seems to become more tainted as more rules are added. Stupid citizens.

Imagine how much more amazing things would be if college students picked up ballots and became a force to be reckoned with.

Governments spend millions/billions of tax-payer’s money each year, and on what - our money in the hands of bad shoppers/bad decision makers…

The $800.00 toilet seat is a myth. I would ask my professor to back such statements up with some facts, some documentation. Or demand my money back.

The $800 toilet seat is definitely a myth, but high-level Government representatives don’t exactly fly coach, either.

To this, though, remember that there is a big difference between having money to waste and wasting money.

I could run out to the liquor store and buy their most expensive bottle of wine, but then I probably won’t be paying my electric bill.

…Or cable bill

…Forget about eating

Sure - the government wastes money. Part of that is even by design. We ask our government to waste money. So it does.
