I seriously doubt this is what you meant, but your response after my above from Alaska caused me to imagine people from Mexico kayaking up to Alaska to get into America…
That’s exactly what I meant. Those Mexicans would probably kayak to Alaska if they knew there was a wide open border like that. Then pretty soon, the far right will be face to face with even more of those poor, brown people that they can’t seem to stand or see any value in.
Oh wait, I just clicked the picture to see the rest of the sign. If that’s not a border, then what I’m saying may not make any sense.
Yeah, that’s just the attempt at a “border” to stop people from into the Massachusetts-sized national park, lol. =D>
As to illegal immigrants; actually, Alaska has quite a few…mainly because there’s really no “border”…just water and lots of land.
If you can get on a boat, you can get into Alaska…or at least, you have a decent shot since the Coast Guard can’t patrol the entire 6.6 THOUSAND miles of coastline, lol… (comparison moment, Florida is 1.3 thousand miles of coastline in their attempt to patrol against illegal immigration…so…yeah).
I love Florida. Never been to Alaska, but I went to Buffalo during a huge winter storm once with like 6 feet of snow and Niagara Falls was all frozen at the bottom and completely deserted. You guys got bears up there?
Yes, we have brown/grizzly, black, and polar bears (polar’s are…well…farther up north of this State than I’ve ever wanted to go, lol).
A Kodiak Grizzly (also sometimes called, “Kodiak Bear”) is huge, though; largest brown bear on Earth, and second largest (polar bear being the largest) bear of any kind on Earth.
There was a pretty decent sized one (stuffed), still is probably, at the Kodiak Airport; we all used to take pictures in front of it when I was a little kid.
You’ve probably seen a Kodiak Grizzly many times and just not been aware of it because “Bart”, the movie bear was a Kodiak Grizzly; a big one too. 9’6" and 1,500 pounds (and yes; Doug, the trainer…he’s tall for a human; big guy).
