I am not randomly demanding she stop problems in the World, I am saying that to be consistant she should call for the dissolution of much of 3rd World debt, and so should you.

We’re the innovators, the peacekeepers, the hard workers, the hope for the future, not them. We will take humanity higher, not them. They owe us, not the other way around.
If they want to feel “owed”, then they should start doing the hardest work. They should become responsible for everybody else, not me or you. They should do all the heavy lifting.
We’re already paying them, in aid. Colonialism is also responsible for whatever infrastructure their countries may possess, especially in places like Africa. It’s true that slavery is difficult to defend on any sort of moral grounds, but there would have been no slaves had the African tribes not colluded in the trade and sold us their defeated enemies. In other words, blacks are just as much collectively guilty of slavery as whites. Arabs too, but we never get to hear about that. Arabs regularly took white slaves launching coastal raids to kidnap them, a problem right up until the beginning on the modern period.

I think a very good case could be made for the European colonial empires withdrawing from places like Africa too soon, before the natives were ready for civilisation. The sorry state of Africa since then bears this out. The Second World War was responsible for this, bankrupting the old powers and, perhaps more importantly, sapping the will to continue with the colonial project.
For all their faults, empires in history have fulfilled vital roles. The Roman Empire brought civilisation to Western Europe, just as the Romans themselves had received civilisation from Greek colonists in Italy.

European countries did not invade thirld world countries because they ( European) want their welfare. They did so in the interest of their welfare.
They created infrastructure and try to educate them in order to enable themselves in using the vast natural resouces present there, and sometimes, cheap labour too.
That is entirely different issue that third world countries were also benifitted to some extent during the course.
But, having said this, i am not in favor of any compensation.

I don’t know why you take such pride in mocking those that you think are weak. I mean, everyone knows that Africa is the way it is, largely because of exploitation of it’s resources. So that’s why they’re starving. There’s not a food shortage in Russia. You’re literally making fun of a race of people who have been beaten down for centuries and making jokes about human beings who are starving and dying.
First of all, I don’t believe that.
Second of all, there is only one race, the human race.
Third of all, world hunger affects everybody, not just Africa.
Forth of all, white people around the world have been doing their part, but what about Asians and Africans?
It’s time that this issue becomes a real human issue, not just one race pulling all the work for everybody else. Africans should donate their money to end child hunger in America and Russia. Just because everyone knows something, doesn’t make it true. If that were the reason, then Africa would have had all its resources used up, but it hasn’t. Depletion of resorces was not the reason why the colonial powers left.
I wonder why that Harvard professor wasn’t campaigning for slavery reparations for blacks in the U.S?
