Have an image; need a word

I’m looking for a specific word to put to this image I have in mind. It’s to do with illusion. I have in mind this image of something or someone one creating out of dust/thin air, or something a specific image/illusion. Two related image I have in mind are a plate-spinner, who creates the illusion of a floating plate, but it’s really only a temporary state because it’s balanced on the force of the spin ( ). And also a tornado, which is a presence whipped up by winds, and again, something which at its centre has a similar spinning force as the plate.

“Spinning force” sounds ridiculous but hey-ho there you go. Vortex?

Apologies about the vague description. But any help is appreciated. :sunglasses:

Centrifugal ephemera?

How about “whip up”?

Nice!

‘Tourbillion’ is a nice word, though I doubt a useful phrase would be made from it. That it has meaning number two is nice as metaphor, since this is an artificial ‘whirlwind’.

Or whipped up concoction… Not sure in what context you will use this.

don’t know how to get this to work: mobile-dictionary.reverso.net/en … ch/whip%20[whipped%20concoction]

Axiomancy or axiomantic…?

Curious if you’ve settled on a word, Trevor

I have one… dervishesque, after the whirling whirling-dervishes - I just have a thing about em is all :stuck_out_tongue:

No. But I do like the “centrifugal ephemera” suggestion, although I would modify it to centrifugal phenomena, maybe. Meh.

K-thx for the update, Trevor.
