Have we got divinity all wrong?

Have we got divinity all wrong?

Much of my life i have been thinking that there is some sort of meaning to be found, a reason which makes up for what the world >is<. However, looking at the world i see that people majoritively suffer and die, we are ‘tested’ but that is more akin perhaps to some kind of Spartan-like training, than an effort to make angels. Or could we go further, and say that its more than a test because there is no way to win? I.e. It is not a test and we are not being tested in all our trials, nor generally.

So what does that say about divinity ~ given that it has some or all say over events in the world?

Before we add devils to make excuses for adversity, here i want to explore the idea of a divinity which made the world with nothing else in the picture. So we start with a philosophical space* then accept the world for what it actually is and add only that, then ask; what is divinity?

*Note; this thread defines a philosophical ‘space’, in relation to all descriptions…
