Hegel may, like Spinoza, seen as somene who uses ‘God’ to his own purpose. Spinoza wanted to elevate nature from randomness and called it God, Hegel did thst with mind, or spirit.
Both men certainly did not believe in a God who oversees everyhing, let alone in one with a moral judgement.

Spinoza (a bit like Descartes) needs him as some sort of “ground” a matrix for the actual physical universe to base itself in
