Heidegger on cybernetics/science taking philosophy’s place?

No, I mean the lie that the self/‘mind’ exists inside the brain and as a consequence of “MuH BrAiN cHeMiCaLsS”.

It goes the essence of any argument, that the spirit of the times, does not can not embrace both the origin and hidden objective of evolutionary knowledge. Otherwise there would not be anything worth while to know; how it may have been forbidden to taste in the beginning, how we were expelled from perfection , or how we were forgiven , redeemed, and how now, we are trying to bring back all those forgotten modes of civilization that were constructed to enjoy and maintain life.

All the science is rushing to redeem again the meaningfully devised ways to keep us sane, not to destroy ourselves out of disbelief in our eternal life.

We do not know it, but we are living it, but resist it tooth and nail, instead succumbing to our panic.

We simply a stubborn to be able to forgive ourself, and passionate about not being able to see that the way has been lit up for us, by a total revelation of absolute self sacrifice, , giving even our permission to even save ourselves by what we think are artificial means.

We really, every one of us need an individual revelation, each one of us needs an earth shaking miracle to have faith, if in nothing else but our selves.

So why do you rule out AI as having a self/mind not reduced to their components?

Exactly

At least at a desired point when consensus can be attained

…this is one of those “What does a bear eat for dinner?” jokes, right? Jk.

Because, as i already explained, AI isn’t operating with anything like a mind. It has no inner dimension, no interiority, no subjectivity, no “I” perspective and self-perspective. No emotions, no values, no sensation, no perceptions, no thoughts, no inner images, no “mind’s eye”, no body, nothing at all like any of that stuff.

Don’t you know how they managed to get these GPT things to finally (kind of) pass turing tests? They had to make them talk to actual humans while those humans rated their text outputs as better or worse. Over and over and over and over again. Until the machine managed to stumble upon the right patterns.

Maybe that’s how your mind works, I don’t know. Would explain a lot, actually.

You ever teach a baby to talk???

Seriously, you fell for the obvious bait already? That was faster than even I thought it would take you.

A society okay with calling people “human capital” does not pass my turing test.

Glad we can agree on something. =D>

Yes.

The psyche (a) either does not exist at all or (b) has a completely different meaning, and, if so, it would be outside the body, perhaps close to the body, but guaranteed not in the body.
