can i take an image file from my computer and use that as my avatar, and if so how do i do that, when i go to change my avatar it gives me a space for the URL of where i got the picture…
i tried using the filepath and pasting that into that spot but that didnt work.

upload pic from your comp to photobucket
use URL provided by photobucket
You can also copy pictures from other URLs to photobucket, which is what I tend to do when I steal an avatar from another site

cut out the man from the image using a picture editing program, then save that as a new file and upload it.

Its not that easy, SIATD.
The soldier isn’t a picture…he’s an animated entity. In order to upload him as my avatar, and as fully functional (he scratches his head, pokes his spear at you, looks up into the sky, etc.), I would need an address to his file properties…which there are none.
I can insert the document properties from my program files, but then I get the infamous “avatars must be less than etc., etc.”
The fucking soldier has properties somewhere and godamit I’m gonna find them. Several of you have had, and do have, animated avatars much larger than my soldier.
This just isn’t fair.
No, it isn’t. I understand your problem now. You could ask Adlerian, he seemed to have some success producing his own animated avatars. Obviously he isn’t still called TheAdlerian.
