Here under false pretences.

I’m not gay, I don’t have any body parts missing, I’ve never been in prison, I’ve never been diagnosed as having a mental illness and I don’t have any sexual tendencies towards animals, especially camels. So, my question is: How can I make a worthwhile contribution to this forum?

Oh, I almost forgot, I’m not too hot on philosophy either.

How is your skills in comedy and sarcasm? What’s your singing voice like?

You can be a fake devil’s advocate, or the villain that the deranged juxtapose all their arguments against. It’s not that bad once you get used to it.

Uccisore for instance is our local Reaganite and Randian.

Rand is bullshit. Replace her with Goldwater and you’d be closer.

Hmm, interesting. Can’t say I’ve ever heard of Goldwater. I’ll have to look into that name.

Among other things, Rand made the mistake of not believing in God. Right, Ucci?

Look up GoldenShower too while you’re at it McGruff.

Among other things, yes.

And yet you were/are both certain about that.

If only there was a way to know for sure. A way to get beyond the part embodied in dasein, conflicting goods and subjective political prejudices.

All the way to the “ideal”, the “natural” truth.

Only now that Satyr has been banned [again] I guess we’ll never know.

About as good as my philosophy skills.

I am? You got a funny definition of ‘certainty’, and a funny way of knowing what I think about stuff considering how little we’ve talked. But then, I’ll just assume you have a private definition of ‘certainty’ that suits your immediate rhetorical needs, and I’m not expected to actually know what you mean in any consistent way.

He can’t be certain of what certainty means. It’s that loop he’s stuck in. I don’t know how after all this time he still thinks it’s clever.

Okay, with respect to God what do you think? Where do to fall on the continuum between, say, certainty and blind faith?

And, in the manner in which you do connect the dots between God and your conservative political values, how do you, in turn, connect the dots between morality on this side of the grave and what you imagine your fate to be on the other side of the grave.

But [if you don’t mind] let’s take that exchange here: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=186929&start=550

I would welcome a serious [and sincere] discussion of our respective narratives regarding these particularly crucial relationships among mere mortals.

On the contrary, I am reasonably certain what certainty means with regard to, among other things, mathematics, the laws of nature, empirical truths and the logical rules of language.

In other words, A = A and all that stuff.

But with respect to value judgments in particular and the relationship between them and God, “certainty” seems to derive more from the manner in which I construe the meaning of dasein, conflicting goods and political economy.

But I invite you as well to join our discussion of these relationships on the thread above.

Let us put aside the retorts [the Kids stuff] and explore the question “how ought one to behave?” in a way that [increasingly] you come upon less and less frequently here at ILP.

Right?

Alright, we’ll have to remember you for an ILP song and dance number. You didn’t however answer the other questions.

This comment has lead me to believe you were a fluffer once in adult entertainment. Please share your experiences with us. What was that like Turd? Were you a fluffer or a golden shower producer?

Why are you asking me what I think after you’ve already told me what I think? Admit your error and perhaps we’ll continue.

Well, the offer still stands if you ever wish to discuss these relationships in such a manner that “errors” often become just points of view.

Uum, what the hell is this thread about???
