Yes, absolutely. When one attributes human qualities to animals, that is personification. Specifically, the term anthropomorphism is best used when in reference to human characteristics being attributed to animals.
Does this mean that a human can be anthropomorphized?
If a human has no personality, can he be personalized?

the behavior of animals is already described in human terms. So by default, yes.
can people be inanimatized? Not unless the object is personified first.
we make the rules about personifaction, so everthing lends itself to us.
can you think of more ways that animals are superior to us then we are them. Probably. But it would fade out. Back to our strut.

I do wonder if anthropomorphizing is projecting a flawed model of the human animal.
My guess is that this is why some of the applications of game theory such as Rawls’ morality are flawed. (To the best of my understanding anyway).

It is projecting and it is flawed but it it is one the best ways to get insight on the things we project about. Especially the idea of authority. Top of the food chain.
The other way is listening to pre-school teachers as an adult. You have both the experience young student yourself and now as a peer.

my four cats are named after authors. I have one black cat named Poe. Symbolic, yes. Personified, close enough.

Umm it would take waaaaaay too much space to list the names of my personified 4 legged kids and that includes the goats.
