Yes, I know this. And perhaps in this, there is something precious left to be found…kind of like a paradox…until we’ve truly embraced our loss, we can’t find it. That may not make much sense, but I know it to be true.

what do I want—I want people to stop hurting each other…

So, does it simply end there, little reptile - with your desire - or do you do something about it, even if it is simply within your own little world. Perhaps all you can do is to stop hurting others, if in fact there are times when you do.

Maybe you can find a way - with words or by example - to show others how to stop hurting each other. We can’t make demands on others. And perhaps the best place to start is by not allowing, not giving others permission, to hurt you. For instance, if someone hurts you deeply and always hurts you, you might teach them by telling them so and walking away.It may not be meaninful to them, but it just may be. But it certainly will be meaningful to you.

Doesn’t everything start with our self - not meant narcissistically of course.
