How can one know he is dead?

Suppose you die without being aware of it. however, your consciousness still exists, outside of your body. But, you set to think: what happens to me? Am I dead? Am I in a dream? Is it just an hallucination?

In that case, how can one know for sure that he is actually dead, and that he actually survived death, discarding all skeptical explanations?

Would it be possible that some dead people are still wondering whether they are actually dead? :astonished:

Before you start worrying about being dead, how do you know that you are even alive?

How do you know that you are not a unborn child in the womb dreaming what you life could be like? Then only in what seems like death are you actually born.

I think after death, one would know that one died and he would also know that just like there was no escaping death, there is no escaping life, coming or next life. The spirit or consciousness that lives on would keep account, but I don’t know how one would perceive that. That’s the part I don’t understand. Well, now that I said that, I know what will happen. Some dead people could not wonder if they are actually dead, I don’t think that’s possible.

I imagine something like this. I’m 95 years old, crippled, and wrinkley. My life blows, so I take the rest of my savings spend it on viagra, and hookers… one night after popping 10 magic pills, and 20 hookers :stuck_out_tongue: All of the sudden I find myself in a different plain of existance :astonished: nothing seems familiar. Its kind of boring… I’m a little dismayed because I think I might just be dead, and I didn’t really believe in an afterlife… :unamused: but then I console myself and think its probably just a side effect of all that viagra… then God walks by and says hey dude nice tent. :smiley:
