How do atheists explain away the MILLIONS of humans that hav

I’m an ex-atheist that reverted to the Catholic Church in 2016 after being lapsed for 15 years.

In August of 2016, I had a very intense spiritual experience from 12 P.M. to 8 A.M. I felt like I was struck by lightning.

I’m not bipolar. I tried to investigate natural causes with several doctors and couldn’t find any.

Millions of people in history over thousands of years have had experiences of God and the supernatural. I’ve talked to some myself; college professors, Ivy League graduates, not frauds.

The overwhelming evidence is that God is real.

How do atheists explain all this?

You do not want to know matey!!

You again. Or are you her?

Anyway, for anyone here who has had one of these “personal experiences” with one of the hundreds and hundreds of Gods and supernatural forces that are claimed to exist around the globe, please bring those experiences here:

Or here: ilovephilosophy.com/viewtop … 5&t=186929

If you are inclined to connect the dots between 1] God and religion 2] morality on this side of the grave and 3] immortality and salvation on the other side of it.

Seriously, as it were.

K: a couple of things, first of all, the overwhelming evidence is
that god isn’t real… you had a personal experience which cannot
be verified by anyone else…please feel free to point out where I
can see, hear, smell, touch or taste god? If god isn’t physically
present, how can we assume that he exists? Now one might say,
you can’t see/taste/touch/hear/smell physical phenomenon like gravity…
but in fact, you can feel gravity every single day with every single
experience… jump off a chair or the roof of your house and that
falling down is gravity…I have plenty of scars from the effects of
gravity… as do you…

Now the second point is a little trickier and we can see this
in UR and others… they hold a belief and they think that if
they hold a belief, it must be true…because I hold a belief,
it must exists…or a variation of this is by the wealthy…
because I am wealthy, it must mean that capitalism is a success,
because I am wealthy, it means the system works… and anyone who
denies this, must be a failure… thus defining success as anyone
who has money… regardless of how they made that money…
IQ45 inherited his money… as did Bush Jr…and so they must
be a success…

just because you hold a belief, it doesn’t mean that it is a universal
belief… and it could be wrong, really, really wrong…

Do you talk to your God? Does it talk to you?

No, but I pray and can feel His presence.

Please try it sometime. Be patient.

You pray to what? Does it speak your language? Are you trying to communicate with rocks? Do they answer you?

Jesus.

I can feel a presence. It’s a warming sensation.

Try it.

i have never and don’t think i will ever understand the desire among so many to postulate supernatural explanations onto things that happen here in the real world

People who actually experience spirit don’t see it as supernatural. To them it is natural.

I know you’re not in the club that billions of people are in and it makes you feel small.

Be very thankful how easy your life is.

I’m an atheist. I see spirit everywhere.

I’ve had otherworldly experiences dozens of times.

I’m betting my life on it.

how did you know they were otherworldly?

It’s interesting to think what otherworldly might mean, since there is only one reality. Once (if) we get used to the otherworld, will this one become otherworldly? What if it already feels that way…even though there’s only one reality?

What if heaven’s just a paradigm shift? If you aren’t getting used to it before you get there, reversal of polarity? If you’re acclimating in advance, …

Soooooo cultivation time.

I could feel them around me but they were invisible.

Saint Padre Pio had similar experiences.

Funny You should mention fr Pio. I have attended daily mass in a church founded by him, talked to religious being there about the many cures that his preserved hand effected. One woman cured of cancer.

His hands were a testament to Holy .stigmata…documented by Vatican authorities

is wind otherworldly?

Are geodesics observed in lensing/bowing the “wind” of quantum entanglement? Is repeated examples of imperfect fractals a similar kind or identical “wind”?

If thought precedes action through bodies for beings in time, but thought … is … for Time … would beings in time see … traces … of Time’s thought/acts? Would they be “Other”worldly?

No further questions, your honor.

Just how many sock-puppets does this person have… and why?

Too much time on their hands? Phishing, more like? Hey Fixed!

Who is “this person”? Ain’t me.

Maybe eventually. To be my own devil’s advocate / antithesis.

Amen. Check out that documentary of him I posted.

So good.
