History has shown recently (watergate and domestic spying) that philosophy can be dangerous, even punishable, when the wrong person, trys to find the truth about the wrong person(s).
Are there rules governing this?
How do we know when we have broke them and went too far?
Especially if no rules are put into place regulating philosophy?
Do they just adjust according to the level of power the object in question posseses? The ability to “legally” do bodily harm to the philosopher pursuing the object? Is that what decides whether the question and search is “right” or “wrong”?
any thoughts?
