If you were not adaptable, then surely you would go through life not reaching your potential.
For example, when you encounter obstacles, especially those that constantly re-occur, you would struggle and find it hard to adapt.
Having said this, many people are afraid of change and just cannot adapt.
So, how important do you think it is to be flexible in life?
As i get older I think its possibly the most important thing!
Mind you too much flexibility and you not have anything called a life any more…Actually on reflecting maybe pure patience is the really important one - very very hard to do though!
I think the flexibility/adaptability allowed me to get job/friend/etc easier.
I mean, if I were strict/rigid guy, I would have had hard time in doing certain jobs or living in certain places.
I lived in different countries, and did different jobs, and had different set of friends at different period of my life.
It was interesting/amusing and helped me to satisfy my desire/curiosity and to loose interests in many things.
In other words, I would have more frustration/desire and running after more hopes/dreams (resulting in more fatigue/sufferings) without the flexibility.
But it’s not that important if you don’t move around and continue to do the same thing till you die.
I think flexibility and adaptibility are very important. The world is a place of change and it demands that we adapt… or perish. I blame a lot of religious wars on an unwillingness to adapt to a world veering way from religion, on people not willing to change their views for the sake of peace.
