How long?
I say 3 months
I guess between 1 and 2 years.
I notice the question asks, ‘when’ not ‘if’…
A true advertisement for America if ever I saw one.
You need to be an American to understand our mindset humegotitright.
I sympathize for Obama’s fate, but it is not looking good for him in terms of life-expectancy. Personally, I don’t really care whether he lives or dies, but bikeseat seems to know something that I do not, and I believe him. I believe him, because I have heard it before from my brother’s mouth, referring to his friends’ words.
I would just be surprised if he does not get assassinated during his first four-year term. That is what I say.
This comes as close as possible to appearing to fomenting assassination without actually advocating it. He’s the most dangerous man to get anywhere near the White House since Calhoun, but is that reason, at this point, to start thinking about violence. But no matter how hateful he is, if you cut the head of the socialist monster off, another one just springs up. He’s the man than embodies the value that government over takes precedence individual freedom.
I’ve sworn to protect and defend the Constitution, but while I was defending it in the military as I had sworn to do, it had steadily been undermined to the point where it is today–nothing left but a skeleton. I gotta say I should have seen it earlier, and people a lot smarter than me should have seen it a long time ago (a few did). So if it comes to a civil war, again, it will have to be to establish a new constitution instead of saving the one we had that we all allowed to crumble to dust.
BTW, if McCain wins, he will lead us down the same road only at a slower pace than Obama. Socialism is socialism. It must be remembered that Bush grew government more than Clinton did. Of course, civil war will only come after the generations of those that had forgotten the value of liberty are gone, and the new ones have the means to rebel which may be decades, or centuries–if ever. We were warned by Franklin and Paine; now just a couple of old dead white men.
First, we shall see our Golden Age (1984?), then we shall fall into chaos when socialism weakens our souls day-to-day.
The next wars we fight will break the bounds of our atmosphere.
And what, exactly, is so evil about socialism?
Bought into your own bullshit, have you. Do you not realize that every Democrat for the past 100 years has been labeled a socialist during the campaign, and that every campaign in American history is a battle for who is the most patriotic. Idiots have been saying the same old shit for literally hundreds of years, talking about how this is the beginning of the end if such and such wins, or the government has turned in the fundamentally wrong direction, and a civil war is inevitable. Don’t be dumber than dogshit.
The only possible difference in this election, is that maybe a few more stupid motherfuckers buy into the stupid ass rhetoric that not even those who put it out believe, or maybe a few less buy into it. Either way, this is crazier than shit.
I’m sensing some frustration…
But I agree. Just as people have believed the end of the world was just around the corner for the past two millenia, and probably even longer, I’m sure people will always believe America is on the verge of collapse. I’m sure that was the sentiment when discrimination was legally ended for both women and minorities, it was probably the sentiment when slavery ended, and it’s the sentiment when the opposing party takes office.
The frustration lies in the fact that the more people talk about assassination, and assume it is going to happen, the more likely it becomes. It take one crazy ass son of a bitch who’s bought into the bullshit to consider it, and then when he see’s that everyone is expecting it, it suddenly becomes more okay. It’s psychology 101, the more people who think it will happen, the more okay it becomes for the crazies. Kennedy is a prime example of this phenomena. Dallas was expecting it, and what’s more important, everyone knew dallas was expecting it.
No, this issue speaks outside of a year’s length of time.
This is about the collapse of the American Republic. (Socialism)
This is about the expansion of the American Empire. (Globalism)
This is about the collapse of the American Empire. (Terrorism)
And Sittlichkeit, you should ask yourself why are some individuals calling for assassination? Who are these particular men?
How many of them are white American males?
Our country isn’t ready for a black president.
This isn’t going to be some victory for the anti-racist folks, it’s going to end in disaster. When Obama gets assassinated, the sides move even further apart.
We’ve still got patching up to do.
White American Fundamentalists are not ready to give up God just yet.
His name must be wrested from their hands through force. This fight is not that easy.
please keep on topic
The vast majority of presidential assassinations and attempts have been white males, and all have been white.
Socialism has been a mantra of the Republican party since FDR
Expansionism has been an issue since WWI
and terrorism, while new, is just another version of the cold war, or drug war, or whatever mythical war you want to use.
The point is that the attacks against Obama made in this thread are the same cookie cutter attacks made on every Democrat for the past 100 years. same with the general attacks against mccain. Historically, however, the attacks are tame. Jefferson, afterall, was accused of wanting to teach incest and rape in schools. And adams was accused of being a hermaphrodite.
The problem lies not in the attacks, but in stupid ass rednecks with horseshit for brains buying into crap that not even a half-moron would accept. The question that we need to ask, that is on the tip of my tongue, is does Obama being black make it more likely that the attacks will be taken to heart? With that said, I saw nothing like the absolute belligerence in McCain/Palin rallies in either of GWB’s campaigns.
If you cannot back up this assertion up with evidence, why should we believe that this is anything but a projection a hate-based wish?
it’s called a prediction durrrrrrrrr
At this point, it’s a prediction backed up by no evidence. Therefore, why should we view it as anything but a projection of your own hate toward Obama?
Hatred is evidence though, is it not?
Yes, I hate Obama, so what?
