You cannot both love & hate one person together; you must pick one person for each vote.

Sadly, I probably shouldn’t hate the person I do…but I just can’t help it.

Where did I put my diary of people on my wrath list at? I know I have it around here some place.

Dang, I was hoping I wouldn’t be leading the hate list…
I love many people, and am hated by many. But I wouldn’t say that I hate anybody – I’ve gotten too old for that. It is too much work.
I’m young… and I know it’s too much work. How do you stop hating somebody? It’s hard to let go…
You know the refrain:
Relax, don’t do it . . .
I’m not that old, but I will say that every year I gain new perspective. And, err, perspective puts things in, errr, perspective.
So I’ll give you the sage advice I came to myself: many things in life simply take time. Drinking makes time go by faster. So, drink a lot and overcome all your problems!
It works surprisingly well. Especially because those problems time can’t overcome tend to resolve themselves after a few rounds of liquid courage.
Alternatively, I’d recommend finding a tradition that advocates forgiveness (pretty much all of them, btw, can’t really go wrong) and once you’ve half-way bought into it, try engaging in some of their ritualized behaviors for overcoming it. I mean, I know I don’t know much. But things that have endured for thousands of years? Sure, they might be wrong on all the factual, metaphysical, philosophical points . . . but in terms of raw human psychology? Hard to beat, let me tell you! I find great solace in that.
