How to Live a Happy Life

First, you have to understand that the universe is flux. This means that the universe has no rules. Using a serious philosophical lingo, this means that the universe is indeterministic.

Still, we have to make a difference between strict and loose indeterminism.

According to strict indeterminisim, the universe knows nothing of determinism, which is to say of rules and regularity, and is thus completely random. Strict indeterminism implies that we can make no sense out of reality, which, by contradicting our everyday experience, proves itself to be wrong.

The universe isn’t strictly indetermined.

According to loose indeterminism, the universe is deterministic, but only in the temporal sense of the word. That which appears to be regular is merely “lucky” to not have become less regular by now. The fate of the loosely indetermined universe is such that every regularity will eventually become less regular.

With this in mind, it becomes apparent that everything is possible and that nothing is impossible and that the concept of free will is nothing less than the real deal.

You choose your own destiny.

Not others, not your past. But you yourself, your free will, the indeterminism of your own brain.

Those who tell you that the universe is deterministic and that you have to behave in one way or another – guess what! – they are lying to you in order to control you!

Do not ever lose faith in yourself.

The truth is that the universe is fighting against your dreams, and by universe I mean both the external reality, which means everything outside of your body e.g. people, and the internal reality, which means your body.

Sometimes, it may look like your dreams do not look realistic, but this is merely your body, particularly your strong memories, trying to take control of your life. Do not let them do so! SILENCE THEM! Silence the disagreeing impulses of your body! Forget all those memories that are trying to pull you back from achieving your true potential ! Never ever question your goals! They are as perfect as any other goal!

Nothing really matters. It’s all just a random choice.

We do not have to live. We can die if we want to.

We do not have to take care of the world. We can simply ignore that if we want to.

We do not have to be nice. We can be rude if we want to.

We do not have to be civilized. We can be savages if we want to.

We do not have to cure our addictions. We can be addicted if we want to.

We do not have to consider ourselves to be addicts. We can consider ourselves to be healthy if we want to.

We do not have to X. We can do Y if we want to.

The universe knows nothing of boundaries.

You can be anything you want to.

And if others tell you otherwise, remember, they are just being themselves, and from your point of view, they are just being negative, or whatever else you want them to be.

You can simply ignore them, or even murder them, if you want to.

Everything that happens is predetermined by the past.

When you flip a coin, on what side it lands is predetermined. Yet we say and some even believe that it could have gone either way. Why?
Because of ignorance. We humans aren’t intelligent enough to take into account and calculate all, or most of the factors that influence the outcome of this particular action so we call it ‘random’.
And yet a group of highly trained individuals can, with the help of technology, calculate it and predict the outcome of the coin flip.

From my experience, random is that which is too complex for humans to find patterns within, NOT necessarily the lack of patterns and governing principles (laws of nature) although it MAY also be that.

Now apply this to your example with ‘you don’t have to do X you can do Y’.
We only say that because we can’t possibly calculate and measure all the chemical reactions and what not occurring in the brain that cause a person to act one way and not another.
If we could, we could predict all actions of a particular organism being measured.
In fact, we CAN predict people’s reactions when it comes to simpler things.
For example, if I know a person likes jokes about X, and I know a joke about X, then I can predict their laughter.
Also, if we know a person doesn’t like a certain type of food, we can predict the possible scope of their reactions to being presented with that food ranging from slight discomfort to utter disgust.
