99% of all species of life which have existed – are now extinct.

Why wont humans be any different?

Let’s talk about the ETA and Causition of the up-and-coming human-extinction.

My postulation would be:

1- No. Technology is too exponential.
2- Well, there will be population drops in the future, but not down to absolute zero.
3- Overconsumption. Waste. Faulty priorities.

We may not become extinct in the sense of our numbers dropping to a point where we simply die off. But no creature remains unchanged forever. We may well evolve to the point where what we become is no longer recognizable as human. Speciation will then have occurred.
