Children are Innocent but once they become a teenager they stop being innocent and they become selfish and the actions they choose are mostly bad this continues for most people until they die people are morally wrong naturally because they are selfish and because they are quick to insult and attack other people for reasons that are not justified most people are capable of this and that makes them evil.
What on earth does it mean that children are innocent?
Do you by innocence mean that they are clean of self-awareness, understanding, knowledge?
Cause i guess so.
In any other moral context, children are the most evil and narcissistic bundles of flesh a human being can become at any of its development stages.
Every evolutionary trait is literally rotating around screaming till someone takes care of you and satisfies your needs, and every other child you have beside you, even if its your own siblings, is a competitor, and thus at the first, remote feeling of need, they become an opponent, whether its for parental love, food, or otherwise.
Do not ever confuse innocence with the state of being free of moral wrongs.
Its just a state of being free of guilt, like in the case of most feral animals. And that freedom of guilt does not mean that they arent limitlessly selfish.
Much like they are hardwired by evolution to act as such, you are hardwired to see them as holy icons, as images of innocence and being free of all forms of moral negatives.
Reality, as always, is different from what we are forced to see it as.
Children can be evil but the evil people are adults and yes why children are Innocent is because they cannot be held accountable for their actions adults on the other hand are always accountable for their actions no matter what.
Nobody who said that children are innocent, has ever meant that “they cant be held accountable”.
Innocence is meant as a moral quality in regards of children, not as a legal one. The f?
Do you think cherubs are painted everywhere as flying babies because they cant be held legally accountable?
Children do not become selfish as teens.
They are born selfish.
No they become selfish when they either become teenagers or adults no one is born evil
I didnt say evil. I said selfish.
You are amoral at birth. That does not mean immoral, but also has no kind of positive context to it either.
You are born with the exact same qualities any other animal is.
If you equate selfishness to evil then you have a major issue in your value system because every living being is selfish by its very nature.
So in context what you said would be AT BEST a transition from being amoral, to immoral, but if you drag the bar that low, then the distinction becomes borderline pointless.
Human beings are born naturally primitive, selfish, egotistical, destructive, and animalistic.
It is only through the power of the state within enforcement that morality and ethics can be installed into people. It is only through the state civility comes into existence.

If you actually believe this, I’m not sure why you are surprised that women don’t feel your pain or think about your needs and desires. They’d just be being human like the men. In fact, their lack of interest would be an absence not all that is implicated by being evil. They’re not all breaking into your home and torturning you, for example.

lol Who dug you up Mussolini?
Mussolini?
Thomas Hobbes, Niccolo Machiavelli, and Han Fei are the original thinkers on this line of thinking that I happen to agree with.
I am more of a Stalin anyways.
I do not believe in the original goodness of human nature, my life experiences have shown me the direct opposite of that.
People can be made to be good and virtuous through various conditioning, but they are not born that way naturally.
We should aspire to be moral, ethical, and compassionate but ultimately only the state can enforce this environmentally.

Okay about Hobbes…
…in which he argued that humans are inherently self-interested and that a strong, absolute government is necessary to prevent society from descending into violence and chaos.
I can agree with the first part of this but the second part…what did he and what do you take to be a strong absolute government?
I am more of a Stalin anyways.
…but phenomenally ruthless organizer, he destroyed the remnants of individual freedom and failed to promote individual prosperity,
I do not believe in the original goodness of human nature, my life experiences have shown me the direct opposite of that.
By original goodness, you mean automatically being born that way, right? I am not so sure about that? I may be wrong but perhaps our genes, depending on the family we are born to, help endow us with some of that “original goodness”.
What do you mean by "People can be made to be good and virtuous…you mean the way in which parents can condition and indoctrinate their children to be and think and feel in a certain way?
We should aspire to be moral, ethical, and compassionate but ultimately only the state can enforce this environmentally.
Yes, and it can be a process but the second half of that… are you just speaking of the law?
If not, it almost sounds despotic here.
As a collectivist for me individualism is overrated. Collective shared prosperity is what I aim for.

I stand somewhere in the middle there. lol I think that we all need to see ourselves as separate, as individuals evolving and striving, as a process on a journey but at the same time, valuing community and the larger community and reaching out to give a hand to where one sees one’s heart and mind being called to.
We may not be or feel that much differently. Quien sabe!
