anybody out there read husserl’s cartesian meditations? reading it for sessional exams and just want to try and get it straight in my head…also know problems with his resolutions to the problems of the world and other egos…
Just going through old posts since I am new to the board. Anway, I am pretty familar with his though…both his earlier and later philosophy.

just 7 months late mate…
husserl was ellucidated within myself, between myself perhaps for myself…but then one could always no know more…
so how long you been studying phenomenology? went and tried to size up your headspace but the site was unresponsive to my poking…so where is you and you drum?
‘i wanted to destroy something beautiful’
Ive been studying phenomenology for about 3 years now. I wrote my honor’s thesis on Merleau-Ponty.
I live in Jackson, Mississippi. Although there isn’t shit here, New Orleans, Memphis, Nashville, Birmingham and a few other good places are right around the corner. I play drums for a metal band KlinkHamer. We are in the process of finishing up a record right now, which we are going to drop around the first of the year and go on a club tour to promote. I also run a little record label and have a compilation cd in progress.
Where are you from and what do you do?

well other than falling into wells while looking at the stars…oh, and oscar’s wit does me little more justice…i study philosophy at an institution in london, its fully of scholarly people who take offence at drunken ramblings when they should really just finish polishing their own glasses and join those less fortunate in toleration…anyhow i been there for 2 years…or rather this is now my second lap around the curcuit…which is good because in recognising the faces in the crowd from the first incarnation the subsequent enjoys more depth…
born and raised in london, i play bass, listen to industrial/rock/metal/prog music and also enjoy the techno slices of noise and digital hardcore…i’m pregnant with many projects, some more foetal than others…that closest to fruition is a band with a longstanding friend…i do continually tell him to sit down but he is very stubborn…which will enjoy influences far reaching and incestuous…linking club beats with a more traditional song structure…although i seem to enjoy the trip of jam and peanut butter sandwiches where two slices are toasted to perfection and then glued together with sweetness and light…
i read a lot, hav-ing an interest account in the oc/cult, but also stretching far off the beatme track of my reading lists and corse hair…do you like reading? what are your favourite thinkers, and who most closet to your own mind-structu-ring thoughts?
‘find the beauty in dissonance’
Yeah, I actually collect occult books. One day I would like to have a big ole library devoted to philosophy and occult. My collection isn’t too big now, but I am pretty selective. I have the key of solomon, book of lies, book 4 of Magick, and the necronomicon. Mostly my interest in collecting is in Crowley and in themes related to him.
Have you recorded anything? I am working as a producer for a record label and my projects right consists primarily of putting together compilations. If you have anything recorded (or plan to do so) send me a or some samples at treysuttle78@aol.com and we may can work something out for letting me us a song or two if your shit is something I could use.
Trey
I have a convert cd to mp3 program that will convert most files…wma, wav, and so forth to mp3. Let me know if you need that for purposes of sending me some samples and I will send that to you.
Trey
The actual necronomicon that doesnt (supposedly) exist, or a different one?
trey- we are very definately in the thinking of recording, but that might be some way off…once we get closer to that i may very well drop you a line…software like that program is always useful and handy even if i can’t send you stuff straightaway…
i am also very interested in Crowley…and having access to a definitive Crowley library would be good…however, if i had one i would not limit its availability to myself…like all information occult stuff should also be widely available…if not now then at some point…like staged introductions or something…these are things/techniques that no one man owns or has the right to deny access to another…that is what troubles me about collectors of Crowleyana…(?spp)…but i too have many reproductions of his notable works…
HVD…for your information there it seems is such a book…at least in title, having heard the same as you i have not avoided it but declined to investigate it at present…although, and despite whatever actual literary credantials it may possess, there is such a book that can be purchassed for unitary promissary notes…
‘man’s being is such that he is not what he is and is what he is not’ [paraphrase]
If you mean was there the book discovered by the ‘mad arab’ that is ages old and he conjured spirits and they ultimately took his life and all that…hell, I have no idea; but it doesn’t matter a whole lot to me. The version you can buy is a great novelty in itself. There are actually two versions that can be bought…I imagine both from amazon. It is an enjoyable read, not so much for the spells and stuff, but the intro is really good and there is a lot of other just neat and fun stuff.
Yeah, I know what you are saying about Crowley. I wish I could just get his popular reproductions in hardback. Book 4 I have in hard back, but it is not that hard to find…and well worth the money, the best work by Crowley I have read from an overall perspective.
Yeah, let me know if you get something together on the recording, I am always interested in new shit and if it is good (or at least can appeal to an audience of some kind) I can find something to do with it. I will get you that software. What is your email?
Trey
its on my profile…
I have translated them into Bulgarian. If I can be of help to you, please specify your question on the phenomenological method explained in CM.
