I am worried about Only_Humean. If that is his real name. He has made no public statements since he declared he was oblivious to, and actually endorsed an obvious internet scam, and then actually even proposed a brainstorming session about how to reduce the “skepticism” with which people approach obvious internet scams as obvious internet scams. The thread containing the scam has now been removed, after some weeks, but I had to rustle a few feathers for people to take flight. I am worried that he might be broke, on the streets, and doing unspeakable things for drug money, and god knows what. My worry actually has nothing to do with the previous line’s mention of the likely scam, which was probably quite a harmless thing, (selling papers to undergrads, and so on). It’s just considerate to begin a conversation from the place at which the last one ended. In any case, I’d be interested to hear what he has to say for himself.

We should call for a search party. The royal prince whats-his-name-and-whats-it-matter is in Canada right now. Maybe we can reach an advisor to send back a message to keep a look out for the person who sulks and generally becomes non-responsive when made to realize that his argument is the weaker.

Apologies for dropping off communication, I’ve had a hectic couple of weeks and a business trip. Most of the people I was talking to got a note in some form or another, but I missed you, Mo, and probably a couple of others. Sorry about that.
As to the scam, maybe I’m too naive, too trusting, a defenceless sheep wandering through the dark woods of the internet.
