I find myself in a odd position

As a liberal, I believe in change and progress and
tolerance and all that good stuff. But of late, oh the
last year or so, I find myself in very bizarro moments.
conservatives are traditionalist, they want stability,
status quo, things to change slowly if at all.
but of late, conservatives have been the radicals.
Pushing for rapid massive changes. I have found
myself repeatedly urging them, to return to the constitution and
the ways of the past, you know maintaining the basic
fundamental right of all Americans. I have found myself
urging restraint to the GOPers of this site. A liberal urging
conservatives to slow down their rush. It is a very strange
feeling. IMP has been pushing for revolution. aspecia has
been pushing for the death of people, whither or not they have
tried. I have found myself urging them, to respect
the rule of law, and the rights of americans to have
basic freedoms. Isn’t that the right wing manta?
Very strange world we live in.

An odd position? That doesn’t happen unless she has lost her “s”.

lol, just trying to emulating imp and stay bored…

K: I find IMP just simply giving one liners as too be
rather bogus. He can’t even defend his positions anymore,
all he can do is a one liner. One like, “you don’t have a clue”.
OK, great, so could you maybe, I don’t
know, elaborate on that? Does he want me to beg him
for elaboration on how I don’t have a clue, What?
This one liner stuff isn’t philosophical, isn’t explanation and
isn’t meaningful. I post on how the right is the radical faction
of this country and I guess, I will get some one liner from him,
about how I don’t have a clue and viva the revolution.
Which will tells me jack. If Imp don’t have anything to say anymore.
he probably shouldn’t’ be on this site anymore.
If he can’t even give a response of more then one line,
maybe he should think about leaving.

Peter,
the first post I saw from imp was an one-liner
with a rather bizar sense of humor.
I’m not kidding you,
I swear on my hamburger.
The longest posts I’ve seen imp wrote,
was at the time when Dunamis with his post -
running amuck
and bathing ILP in blood…
impenitent,
you have the right to remain silent.

btw imp, Fritz is taking over the world and David can finally worry about kitchen design…

many threads would be much emptier without him. i regret telling him off. at the very worst, hes a half assed devils advocate who causes me to spew more valuable propaganda.

VIVA LA ROTACION!!!

imp is a representation of the primordial Humean froth of experience…

he cannot press the key ‘.’ less than three times…

i’m not sure why he bothers to have political opinions, or any opinions whatsoever…

aporia, I hereby add you to my list of photo invitation, if you are female of course…

and fuck la revoluCion…

viva la econometrica…

Future: yeah right… a liberal who believes in “good” stuff…

K: Are you really Future man? Or are you IMP in hiding?
And how much does it cost to get an IMP personality transplant?

Why bother to write more than one has to write?

If you’ve got nothing better to do than discuss why another poster/staff member should leave and turn every discussion into another ‘why Bush is the worst President since, like, forever’ conversation then I suggest, only suggest, that you consider your position…

K: Unlike yourself, I rarely demand that one should go.
I just question whither IMP can even go beyond one liner’s
on this site. One liner’s are not philosophy, one liner’s
do not advance the discussion of the subject at hand,
they are just a way to be cute. I can get cute from my cats,
I want discussion. One liner’s are not discussion, they shut
down discussion.

Now as far as your point about bush, that is simply not true.
I probably spend less then 50% of my post on bush.
I am just more adamant about that village idiot.
My position is bolstered by facts. I really only deal with facts
and when I offer an opinion, I call it an opinion,
but given what I know about history, he will be the
worse president in modern times and I have the facts to
show that.

The Constitution is our friend, Peter. We can’t worship it as a god, but since I am not superstitious, it’s close. Most of the problems we have in America would be aleviated to a great degree by returning to the Constitution. Naturally we’re all flawed and imperfect, so there will be social problems as long as there are people, but most of the ones that I find most personally vexing stem from how far we’ve strayed from constitutional law.

That’s why I’m a Libertarian and consider most DemoRepublicrats to be morons.

PK,

Nor is anything that you’ve said on this thread. What’s your point?

(of course one liners, when used properly, are the best philosophical tool around)

So ignore Imp’s posts. No one is forcing you to read them. I’ll admit that it’s only the really complex subjects that tempt Imp out of his machine punning and table tennis style of discourse but it can be done, you just have to approach it in the right fashion. Needless to say criticising Imp and suggesting that he leaves is not ‘the right fashion’.

I can’t be bothered checking your post history to see but I’m estimate that 60-70% of your posts directly reference Bush (or the Bush administration) regardless of the title or opening post topic. I’m not the first one to note this and I’m sure that I won’t be the last…

We’ll see…
