i just want your experiences .. :)

“god …”
the word used ALWAYS when we are in a trouble - doesn’t matter …whether big or small .
well, anyways… looking at my past - i noticed one thing , whenever i started disbelieving him and was developing hatred against him - i saw miracles happening around me ! .things automatically turned out for me . life became easy ! … so …for me , the theory comes out to be - " if we say “i dont trust you god. you don’t exist” . he do , what i want ." my wishes comes true !
i don’t want to offend him . but , actually this happens to me . quite many times !
so guys , i was just wondering …what i think …might be true … i just want you to share some of your experiences like this with god . if they exist .

i found god through an act of forgiveness that was acted toward me. i humiliated someone and then a second later i needed their help. they forgave me without skipping a beat and welcomed me back with open arms. i knew that if i was in her situation i would have scorned me and told me to get lost. that forgiveness is grace. it’s GOD’S grace. from that moment i knew i would go to any lengths to find this grace and keep it in myself.

Can one share an experience?
i am sure the knee jerk answer will be no.
But that’s not my experience.

well,
what i meant was straight and simple, and was obviously easy to understand just like erutxet did ! . she gave the required answer .
and by the way , an experience can be shared - with words . ( if you want to )

Welcome Mimansa. I’m not sure I’m understanding you. Are you saying that it’s when you reject God that He pours his blessings out on you? Is this your experience?

When I was a child I used to serve on the alter of my local church.
One day, while I was kneeling in front of the alter, during mass,
I started to lose my hearing, my vision became blurred, my head felt like it was spinning…
Is that the sort of experience you were looking for?

It’s undeniably true that all of us are experiencing “blessings” all the time. It was said even back in the old ignorant days long ago : “God sends His rain on the just and unjust alike.”

But there’s way more to it. Just consider all the massive out of our control interdependent and inter-related systems that are in place that are necessary to maintain our existence.

Yes there is entropy in the universe. But extropy seems to be stronger than entropy. Thus we are here, and are receiving the benefits (blessings) of extropy every day of our life.

Some see this extropy as proof of the love and blessings of God.

its not about what i was looking for . i was just wondering -what exactly @v-outofthewilderness said in the first reply .
i dont know if its true or not . but …yeah, sometimes i do think so .
anyways, is that experience real ? or you were just trying to gratify me ? …

hmm =D> …that’s so true , we believe it or not - we all live in the materialistic world, and i guess whole of the earth is flooded with them only - materialistic freaks !
well , your view fascinated me , maybe this was something i was looking for . you generalized it for me .anyways , personaly i never considered any material good to be god’s grace, instead i believed "what we have is , meant to be with us - its something so small when considering a big lifetime ! " . but, glancing at your theory of extropy and entropy . i got confused . after , giving it a worthwhile thought ,i believe extropy is actualy a proof of love and blessing of god ! any scientific or other kind of thing is created because god blessed someone with such a brilliant mind or thought to create it ! don’t you think so ?

and coming back to my question , what you commented earlier is exactly what i mean .
i don’t want to be negative. i know - if god’s doing things this way , there have to be a reason. i was just looking for that .

Strictly speaking, this is not true… the universe is losing energy. Dark energy (or however we explain the expansion of the universe) will eventually cause an end to all motion, heat, and energy. Probably.

But, returning to the main topic-- Mimansa, doesn’t it seem a bit strange to believe that an all-powerful God, creator and ruler of the universe, would be concerned with your “materalistic” desires/needs? And furthermore, aren’t you essentially abusing the notion of faith for your own immediate desires?

Finally, you may want to ask yourself whether the more rational viewpoint is one that needs God for the explanation of coincidences, or whether you are explaining a handful of (possibly) unlikely events with God because that’s the most appealing answer.

White, be gentle here. I just left you quite a bit to chew on in another topic a few minutes ago. [I’m still praying for you] Mimansa, trust God by faith in His goodness to provide what you need. He knows and will take care of you if you trust Him. Matthew 6:8 = “…your Father knows what you need before you ask Him…” [I’ll pray for you, too]

God is taking care of everyone, believers or not, trusting or not.

And … all my life I’ve been around believers that pray. I’ve been one of them. Over the years I’ve know what is called prayer warriors.

And to be honest, if there was a slot machine that paid off as infrequently as prayer no one would ever play it.

An example. Not that long ago, at the Church of Christ I was attending, a brother was told by his doctor that he had a bad heart valve. He had no symptoms. He played sports, farmed, hunted, and never had any symptoms of heart trouble.

A few days before he was to be operated upon, in Sunday School class, we all formed a circle, held hands and each prayed for the brother. And I found out from the pastor that over a thousand Church of Christ believers were praying for him.

And he walked into the hospital without any symptoms of health problems, and came out with a toe tag on. All those prayers and he still died.

It was not :

Mat 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
Mat 7:8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
Mat 7:9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?

Pray “Thy will be done” and your prayer will be answered affirmatively every time. Of course, it will be done even if you don’t pray for it. But, if you really mean it, you would be aligning your will with god’s. Now, how to make yourself really mean it… :confusion-confused: It’s a matter of wanting what you get instead of insisting on getting what you want. The Stoic’s way to happiness.

I know V, I have read some of your responses and I understand that you are disappointed and walked away. We don’t always get the answer we want, sometimes it is no, but it is always according to God’s will, not ours. We have no right to be angry with God if this is His choosing. He is in control and makes the decisions. If this young person knew God, then what is the problem? He is with his God and those who also know God will see him again… that this the hope you need to take ahold of. That is the comfort that the believer has that unbelievers don’t have…Hope.

Yes, Felix. Pray according to God’s will and He will answer accordingly, but it is not always yes, but it is always, best.

Wait, Selah7+, if you pray to God “thy will be done”, when would God ever answer, in effect, “No, I will not do my will” by not carrying out “His” will? :confusion-questionmarks:

Look, tragedies happen and often with no gain and no purpose whatsoever. If there is a plan that unites all events which occur on this planet, it is not a benevolent one. It includes horrendous sacrifices of innocent lives, whos cries of pain reach no one’s ears. There can be no supreme purpose that somehow requires these terrible things to happen. God is either all-powerful and capable of finding a way around each and every tragic, painful, life-destroying event, or he is not.

If God’s plan is so perfect and complex that we cannot fathom it, what gives us reason to believe it is truly there? What makes it appear any different than mere chaos? The two would be indistinguishable.

Sorry, Felix, you missed my point. Selfish prayers are NOT in God’s will for anyone, but His will is always done, no matter what we think or feel or want. Answers are not always affirmative, because it may not be best for us. He knows the end from the beginning and trusting God is absolutely necessary for true happiness. Who is so arrogant to insist God perform the way we want because we think we have so much more wisdom than God. Don’t expect to get answers to anything if that is where your heart is.

White: Why do you think that a loving God is evil? There is a purpose for everything. We suffer not because God sends evil to us, but because we are sinners. We are depraved and deserve nothing good. We get just what we deserve. Only God is good and made a way for us to be forgiven for our sins and to have a relationship with Him and understand Him. There is a plan and it is perfect. God hears the cries of His own and will only turn to those who trust Him. If you don’t believe Him, then you have no faith because you don’t trust Him, therefore, your cries [or prayers] are hindered. It’s our sin that separates us from God. Anyone can understand God if they want to, but rejection of the Son of God will only get you rejected by God. You have a very good reason to believe… your eternity depends on it. Jeremiah 17:9 = “The heart is deceitful above all things and is desperately wicked, who can know it?”

Yes, this experience was real; or it is, at least, a real memory.
This experience, real as it was, had no ‘‘supernatural’’ or ‘‘divine’’ origin… I had simply missed breakfast on the day in question, as a result i almost fainted.
