I’m the teacher now; you’re the student

You like it in the whirlwind you sow, don’t you?

You’ve been promoted from class clown to the teacher’s pet. Extra pets for actually doing the reading.

I actually did my homework. You can do yours. It’s in your DNA.

“The error-correcting gene carries memes,”

Source?

So you think the eternal timeline is whole. I agree (and we help/ed). And minds are encompassed in it by the ontologically prior mind (who is also in it…us). So this belief is incorrect:

It’s fractalicious, isn’t it? So monadacious, the corpuscles of … it all.

… sink … signal. Yes.

Fine, eyeroll I’ll dig something up for you.

When I asked Siri why thyamine is in the nucleus instead of uracil, it gave these kinds of answers:

  • thyamine helps get rid of uracil that resulted from deaminated cytosine

  • thyamine is more stable against mutation than uracil

It is part of how the program self-corrects & gets rid of errors in the signal/information.

You’re going to tell me that isn’t irreducibly complex?

Error detection w the added bits … & correction … is absolutely language, which is … intelligent in origin! https://www.quora.com/What-is-self-correcting-code

That’s just a claim. I at least referred to the scientific theory of IIT…

Not what I asked.

When I google “error-correcting gene” (without the quote marks), I get an AI overview that begins like this:

“An ‘error-correcting gene’ isn’t a specific gene, but rather refers to the biological systems that detect and repair errors within DNA during processes like replication, or to the use of gene-editing technologies like CRISPR to fix specific mutations that cause disease.”

If my above post did not answer you, ultimately it goes back to the unprogrammed programmer.

This is a statement about every gene. That’s why my post (did you skim it?) refers to thymine and uracil, not a specific gene.

This is a fun video:

These forces, these processes, aren’t they what constitute you, your mind, your psyche? Aren’t they underlying your every act? They are not a denial of your existence and your independent action, they are what make such possible in the first place.

We do not know what is underneath our every action, the underlying motivations of everything we do- but what really matters is that we do what we do, that we choose to do this or that and that we are conscious of our voluntary actions. I do not see how one thing denies the other, unless I’m misreading you and you can clarify things further.

You’re denying agency, right? The action itself is all that exists, is that what you’re saying?

Not sure I agree they’re underlying anything. Look, here’s how I understand Jung’s concept of the unconscious. My unconscious is simply everything I’m not conscious of. Jung then distinguishes between a personal and a collective unconscious, but to me anything that affects or has affected me, but of which I’m not conscious, is part of my unconscious. It doesn’t matter if it’s in my body or in another galaxy. My mind, by which I meant my conscious mind, is simply everything of which “I am” conscious (my cogito). I can never be conscious of anything underlying the contents of my consciousness, but only of the contents of my consciousness. And I am nothing but my consciousness.

Funny, this came up recently in this podcast:

^from about 23 minutes to about 34 minutes. The whole thing is good, and the previous podcast (part 1).

A good podcast, though I can’t say I understood 100%.

The problem of human choice remains.

Sartre said it better: we are condemned to be free.

reco’d scratch repeat

That’s because they’re a fake persona x fake Christian = twat.

Finally you have some genuine insight. Into yourself.

teacher dons black baseball cap, exits classroom like clandestine badass

Very relevant!!

Not hardly.

One more time (third time I’ve explained this i think. No wait it was five times). The golden rule is nonsense… literally an impossible thought experiment.

When you do to me what you would want done to you if you were me you change what i am by forcing me to become you. You will do for me so long as i do and want what you think i should do and want.

Joe loves and wants to beat people up. He’s looking for someone to beat up, and you know where some people are. Now, if you were Joe, you would want you to help him find someone to beat up… but because you don’t like to beat people up, you wouldn’t do this unto (for) Joe.

…no, I would introduce Joe to you and tell him to go to town.
