I think I saw a UFO

I think I just saw a UFO…. or 3 of them.

I live on a small mountain (300m/1K feet) and usually wake up around 4am, well before dawn, then go outside to have a pee before beginning the day. The sky was particularly breathtaking this morning because it was totally cloud free and crystal clear. When it’s like this you can clearly see the mist of lights we call the Milky Way. It’s like looking at those NASA photos but when seeing it directly, it swallows you up.

This morning I looked up at the deep black sky shimmering with billions of stars when I noticed a long object moving overhead. The object was totally silent as it slid very, very slowly above me. It wasn’t quite close enough for me to make out its shape; all I could see was what looked like a line of lights. A line of lights (or round windows) with a gap about a third of the way across the object before another longer line of lights/windows began. It looked like a low flying jumbo jet if the jet was the same diameter but 3-4 times longer in the middle with all the interior lights turned on and without wings or a tail. A minute or two later I saw another light following behind. It looked like a light you’d expect from a plane but without the flashing white and red lights and also completely silent. Then a second light appeared going in a similar direction. Again, no pulsing aircraft lights and no sound.

What really seemed odd to me was the direction they were traveling in. It’s common to see passenger planes in this area and if they’re high enough, they can be totally silent too but they all go in a north to south direction (or vice versa) because they’re coming from Sydney or Melbourne (directly south) and going to Brisbane or Cairns (directly north). These objects came from the west where there’s nothing but farms, big ranches and desert and they were heading east over the ocean.

While UFO sightings somewhat interest me, I’m not a UFO fanatic by any means. I haven’t seen a UFO before and haven’t even seen ‘Close Encounters’ so I don’t go looking for weird objects in the sky or even thinking about them much but that sight was very, very weird – a straight line of windows 100 metres/300 feet (approx 3 Airbus lengths) slowly sliding across the naked sky with two lights following close behind and heading out over the ocean? WTF!!!

It’s coming on winter here so it’s getting cold but I might rug myself up, make a hot drink and sit in the dark for the next several mornings. This area was known as an Aboriginal meeting place so if there’s ever a place to meet extra-terrestrials, then this is it.

PS: When I realized that this was not easily explained away and that I should run inside, grab my phone and record what was happening, it would have been too late.

OK. I found out what it was. It was an Elon Musk Starlink launch.

Apparently, they sent 60 satellites up simultaneously this morning which is why they look like a line of lights. They look like this until they separate. It also explains why they came from the west (outback) and headed over the ocean. There’s a space station (or two) in the next state westward so they must have come from there.

Oh well, I’m still a UFO virgin

Here’s a news story about it – although I’m about 800km/500 miles north from where these people saw it. Maybe the other two lights I saw that seemed to follow the main line of lights had already broken off because they didn’t seem to be following the exact same path. Amazing thing to witness, regardless.

Well it happened again.

With layers and layers of clothing, coffee in hand and some spacey ambient music, I’ve been going outside an hour before dawn looking at the stars. It’s incredible how many shooting stars there are are; I must have seen a dozen. And then, this morning, it happened…

I saw three lights; two in a row and one that seemed to be traveling on a different angle. Then I saw another… and another… then a whole line of them came rising out of the south behind the hills and encircled the sky. It was a procession of lights surrounding the earth. A long line of satellites from one end of the horizon to the other… and they kept coming. It went on for several minutes. They were more spread out this time but if you didn’t know what they were, it would have looked like we were being invaded. If only  Someone has to save us from the insanity that has infected the planet…

But alas, it’s only Musk and part of what will eventually become his ‘neural network’ - a network that is now used as an internet service and increasingly as The Internet-of-Everything platform (ToE). After that, it will be used by those with chips in their brains. We WILL be gods, damn it!!!.. or should I say, THEY will be gods because only those with money and/or power will have access to it. It’s a digital Tower of Babel… man trying to become god; the knower and controller of everything. We have been here before and we all know how that ended…

If we don’t play god, who will?
Some things must be done, the moral imperative.
I’m sorry that the moral imperative split with the natural order of things.
But it still stands, upheld by a minority.

Thanks for your postings.

Howdy Dan. Here’s a photo of my new buddy who dropped in to say ‘hello’.
